I also recommend turret stratagems, like the Rocket Sentry or Mortar Sentry. And, most armor-piercing stratagems like autocannons, disposable anti-tank, recoiless rifles, etc.
It's much easier when paired with an armor that gives you more grenades (for early game, recommended armor is CE-35 Trench Engineer which you get on the third page of the default warbond). Try diving around your enemies, flanking, and juking them to get the upper hand. Especially with scout striders (AT-ST looking robots), you just go up right next to them (not too close, they can stomp you pretty easily), dive to their right/left while they are distracted (doesn't have to be, they turn slower than you) and kill their pilot as soon as you can. When it comes to killing hulks, you can almost 1 shot them with expendable anti-tank, pair this with a few autocannon and/or recoiless rifle shots and you can take them down even when they are looking directly at you. You can also kill hulks with your hellpod, same goes for Bile Titans. They are both fairly easy targets with your hellpod given that they are slow and massive enemies. *Sneaking up behind a hulk and hitting it's orange parts on it's back is also a viable strategy.
Overall, it's mostly strategy that involves failure of automaton missions, as they actually shoot back, I see how it may be hard for some.
Nonetheless, please consider this information next time, and most importantly - enjoy helldiving and spreading liberty and freedom by all costs!
Wow Nice reply thanks!

This one's most important. Read this tip FIRST.
Automatons are susceptible to suppressive fire. This means that if you suppress them enough, they'll become majorly inaccurate and you can get away. This makes it much easier to kill them as well.
Deploy mortar sentries while running away from an enemy towards extract, it helps clear out enemies that may be chasing you there. (Do please deploy it farther from enemies. Try sneaking around them, otherwise it'll either destroy itself, or the bots it's targeting will destroy it.
Rocket sentries are best fitted for high areas and high stake scenarios when there may be a heavy.
Expendable anti-tanks can shoot down dropships in one shot when aiming for the engines. It won't be of any use if you shoot em down after they drop the bots, you have to act quick.
If there's a SEAF-SAM on the map, activating it will automatically prompt it to shoot down any nearby dropships, this won't be of too much use considering it's a 3 shot, and by the time it gets destroyed it's already dropped it's payload of bots and is leaving the area, if you even are lucky enough to get it shot down. It's surprisingly not that accurate. (This does NOT require any stratagems. It's just automatic.)
And something that's easier to do with bots than with bugs is to disengage. Bots are extremely slow its pathetic just do the objective then run away they will never catch up.
I may seem a tad 'rambunctious' without lack of better word, by correcting you. Pardon me if so. I just want to spread information crucial to the success of all Helldivers alike, as this includes the names of enemies for easy identification. (Even though those interested in enemy artifacts or ranks are nothing more than traitors, please don't report me to the democracy officer! I mean it only for good!)
They meant exactly what they said. Chargers who go unnoticed until they are up next to you because their audio cue seems to be pretty low.
