I only bring it against bots. For the bugs I prefer the fast firing pistol.
I've never switched back to the revolver once I got it.
That I didn't know, and what i was speculating on later in my post. That's great to hear, so it does sound like it has more utility against the Automatons.
Having messed around with it more, for the Terminids, I prefer the the P-19 redeemer machine pistol. The larger magazine capacity and faster RoF lends itself better to killing the numerous numbers of chaff that likes to rush you and try to overwhelm you.
The Senator, is nicer when you got a pair of Berserker's running at you, and up need something to put them down swiftly and efficiently.
It has more armor piercing that the dominator (medium armor piercing), it can go through anything except the heaviest plate of armor (the ones in front of charger, and the head / side of titan).
whereas dominator cannot pierce the thinner part on charger, the revolver can.
I personally carry it around as a quick way to get rid of small armored bug tho, save me from wasting primary bullet on them.
