Example if i host im F1
So there are 3 other players with a number next to a letter.
If I'm asking, that means most casual players aren't aware and they aren't bothering to ask.
When things get crazy in the game world a unique icon above the leaders CHARACTER's head will cut through any possible confusion. Same with waypoints. That's why we have this type feature in MMO's to clearly show party lead or raid lead at a glance when $hit is getting crazy. Without any cross referencing their name, then cross referencing their color, then finding them on the HUD.
"Bloated HUD" lol. Making the squad leader stand out from the crowd isn't "bloating the HUD".
Again, if I'm asking, there are legions of casual players out there that have no idea who the squad lead/Host is at any given moment. They don't know who to follow and can't tell the Host way points from other waypoints.
Sure, tell me it's orange again. It still won't change the fact that MOST PLAYERS i've spoken with in pugs have no idea who the mission leader is once we're in world.
this is a chaotic coop TPS. not a WoW raid. the most "strategy" people use outside of level 7+ is "shoot it till it dies".
What's with the extremely vehement toxicity?
I"m sure most players, like me, aren't assuming their squad mates are "complete morons" like you do. Most of us want to help the host out. That's why it's called "cooperative game play".
I mean why join someone else's game only to be a jerk and do your own thing?? If you're crapping all over the host, running way ahead of the host, and trying to take over the mission, well this is what the "kick" feature is for. Hopefully the host removes you from the match. Host your own match and talk down to and crap all over your team mates all you want. Don't bring such toxicity to someone else that's hosting.
Can't find where anyone suggested "boot licking". It's a co op game mode. If you don't like cooperating, why in the world would you join someone's match? Have a blast solo or with your toxic friends.
Can't find where anyone suggested "boot licking". Mind quoting that part for me.
It's a co op game mode. If you don't like cooperating and helping the host, why in the world would you join someone else's match? I bet you're one of the one's complaining about being kicked because you NEVER follow or assist the host.
Exactly. Especially at higher difficulties this mentality of "I do what I please" needs to go; it's a team-game. You play as a team or it is to everyone's detriment.
That's a lot of melodrama, unfounded assumptions and hyperbole that still have absolutely nothing NOTHING to do with the current state of the UI.
All the conjecture in the world still doesn't change the fact that Host waypoints on the HUD and Host waypoints on the Compass needs to stand out more. In addition most players still have no idea who the Host is at any given moment.
