How do we feel about Eagle 110mm rocket pods?
I feel like these are pretty helpful, but maybe I’m biased because I upgraded my Eagle attacks first and want them to be good

It’s not as strong as orbital rail cannon but I can throw three and have a quick rearm

Are they worth it, to you? Which strats are better?

They're good if they hit. But I'm not sure how they can't consistently hit the broad side of a bot fabricator.

I don't use them, I don't feel they have a good enough niche to be viable. Three uses is generous and re-arm time is roughly 2.5 minutes? But it has two significant problems for me personally - 1) I usually run something like the 500kg or airstrike and if I'm running another eagle, it means I have to manage my re-arm times between the two of them which is just more hassle that I don't want and 2) I feel as though it's not a guaranteed kill on some things. I usually bring the railcannon because I know if I throw it towards a charger, it's going to kill the charger. I know if I throw it at a cannon tower, it's 100% going to kill that cannon tower.

I like the 110mm rockets. Eagle-1 is normally pretty accurate, hitting the biggest targets around the beacon. Heavies will normally go down in 1 pass if all the rockets hit.

They target the biggest enemy in their call down area and while their explosion isnt large, this can be used to its advantage for tight areas where you're trying to avoid friendly fire. I've killed Bile Titans, Chargers, and Tanks with them before. Its lock on is a good counter for the big stride of Bile Titans.

2 of those bad boys can ruin a titans day...
And with the hangar upgrade 3, you get 4 uses of these puppies, aka deleting 2 bile titans.

now combine that with a teammate that can has the quasar cannon or yourself with some EAT or Quasar or Spear, and suddenly Bile Titans just are a nuisance instead of a thread...
and yeah - that accounts for everything else.

What are you talking about? You only get 2 uses by default and 3 with the upgrade

They had them for free in missions a few weeks ago and I still hated them. They don't do enough damage and found the targeting to be garbage

They are good at what they are meant to be BUT...it is wildly inaccurate. The hellpods are meant to be quick heavy bombardment to one big target. I think of it like throwing 3 big grenades at something. When it works, it is very effective. You can take out tanks with one hellpod if it actually lands all hits. I've also killed chargers and titans with it. But I feel like half the time it misses the target or only one rocket actually lands. Used to love this stratagem until it failed multiple times to even land one hit. So now I can't justify using up a slot for it anymore.

Yeah, 110mm Rockets need some tweaks so they are more reliable, better tracking, higher damage (enough to instakill a Charger even without hitting the head), and another charge at base, so they start with 3, and go up to 4 with the upgrade

I find them pretty underwhelming and prefer to use 500kg against bots or cluster bombs against bugs.

i use em if i farm on easier difficulties but if there are hulk spam... i bring bigger bomba :P rockits are pretty good on stacked mediums. would cluster do the same job? yes but sometimes you need the precision of rockits.

Great when they work. Sometimes they just don't feel like tracking, and if the target is moving, they just straight up whiff. Great for blowing up tanks and turrets.
