Helldivers 2 Is way too difficult

So i bought this game a few weeks back, as a supercitizen pack. And started playing it and i heard it had 9 difficulties. So i enter my super destroyer after a weird tutorial that has nothing to do with the rest of the game except the strategem part????

Anyway i heard this game has 9 difficulties, so I see the cabinet where you boot up missions, called strategem heros, and easily complete level 1 to 3.

But then level 4 on it is such a big diffuculty spike, and for some reason i am not getting any samples, since i heard that your ship can be upgraded with samples, which i assume makes strategem heroes easier. So, here i am hardstuck at lvl 4 sometimes close to level 5 of strategem heroes. Wondering how people can get to level 9 on it.

Anyway, i think any person reaching 7 8 or 9 on this game, is clearly cheating or using macros. That or my skills are subpar.

Anyway please balance the game better next patch, so that i too can enjoy reaching level 7 or higher atleast in strategem hero! For the full game experience!

No way. The game is easy even at level 9. If you cant climb the difficulties, then just play what you can. Asking the devs this selfish. "Make the game around my skill level please devs."

I hate to be one of those "git gud" people but yeah, your skills are sub par. Just keep playing and eventually you'll figure out all the little tricks and tactics, stratagems to bring, armour for your playstyle, that sort of thing.

You have to learn to ignore enemies and only focus on doing objectives. You aren't meant to fight everything you come across. Only defend an area when you are supposed to.

You have to find samples by exploring. They will usually be at a point of interest. Your character will verbally tell you when you are near one and there will also be a diamond icon on your minimap when you encounter one. The diamond means you still have something of value in the area.

I recommend playing difficulty 4 until you’re acing missions easily

Then do same for 5

Take your time, learn how to win. I’ve played 60 hours and I just now am doing difficulty 8 regularly

dude level 4 is like "normal" difficulty. level 5 is when it starts amping up. if you find it too difficult, keep learning, playing, and unlocking more stuff. i'm level 32. can easily beat level 6 solo. i originally thought level 4 was ridiculous but then i got better.

tldr: just keep diving.

as for strategem hero, who cares?

I think the difficulty thing is very valid point, 1 through 3 are easy peasy, but as soon as you hit 4-5 that's it, the game just says ♥♥♥♥ you, if you compare it to a similar game like deep rock galactic, that has way less difficulty settings, the difficulty curve on that game is way better with only 6 difficulty settings, where as this 1 has 9, so the difficulty curve should be more shallow, but it definitely isn't. this game is in the spot light at the moment if the devs don't listen to its community it will die out pretty quickly.

You been playing game wrong. Teamwork in this game is fake. You are here for objectives and samples only. This is why you should view your teammates as cannon fodder. You land down hit that lie on ground button call in your stuff and off you go to do objectives and samples... Playing with randoms they will surely will start firing at anything that moves giving you less bugs at objectives/samples because they will be getting all bugs/spawn bugs. As bonus you don't get stratagem'd by your team and dropping your stuff. Only viable armour is light armour due broken ratings. Main meta is for primary Breaker or Slugger, and for support Rail gun, Orbital Laser, Orbital rail strike. Everything else in game suck and broken. I have finished many hell dives this way, but I feel like I did my part until next content update.
