Yeah I dunno man, if you have empty slots on your team and you accidentally call in someone, who knows? You might just happen to invite a really cool person by accident and make a friend, or, you might happen to get a brand new player who might appreciate a veteran taking them along for the ride :D
Being the holidays its pretty likely that many new players were gifted a Liberator for Christmas!
Until you get used to throwing your strats perfectly, think of each accidental random reenforcement as an OPPORTUNITY FOR MORE LIBERATION!!!
If the rando hops in and starts TKing or being rude, kick them.
Happy Holidays o7
I got almost 100 hours in the game but still haven't called it by accident so it's probably skill issue in your part.
You can huff all that delicious copium all ya want big man! Fact is, you type things fast, sometimes you make a mistake!
I'm just not humouring that "skill issue" crap, and frankly, do not believe you for a singular second that you've not done it at least once or twice. You can go right through the window and miss me with that.
In fact, if you are *going* to just splurge words like they're prompts, copy pasting "skill issue" go right ahead and spare me the pretentiousness lol
(Its hilarious you want people to believe that if they can't *not* mess up a stratagem that has a similar code every so often, not frequently, just *sometimes,* that suddenly the consensus just drops to "Ah yes, clearly you just suck")
I'm amazed you people haven't called in hellbombs or artillery on your own judging by these comments.
Normaly that would be seen as a problem with the design of the program and having the codes be so similar would be a UI problem.
But gamers just go Hurr Durr sKiLl iSSuE
Yup, sadly there is no way to disable it for host. Drunk diving sometimes will spawn those SOS things around me.
The community IS bad. ffs over 75% of the player base dropped the game because of a flamethrower bug fix but everyone took it as a nerf despite all the concerns being immediately debunked. They threw a massive fit about the "nerfs" and completely ignored every single buff as if they never happened, and act like the game isnt swamped by bugs/glitches.
I'm sorry but the majority of the helldivers 2 community are idiots. When you're in the top 3 difficulties and you're trying to call in a reinforce as fast as possible, accidents tend to happen. Not everyone puts them in slowly as they are staring at the inputs. Plenty of people have gotten used to doing the inputs fast without looking. The issue is its really easy to make a single input mistake and it turns into an SOS you cannot disable once its thrown. Its ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ annoying and there's nothing wrong with finding it annoying that there's no option to disable it if you have no intentions of using it. Let us retract the SOS, or just change the inputs. It shouldn't be identical to reinforce. Its bad ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ design and people need to stop defending this buggy and flawed ass game like its gods perfect gift to gamers after its had months to improve and it still hasn't.
You are objectively wrong. Plenty of other people have had this problem. If the solution is to check your hand/top left of the screen before throwing it, thats idiotic. The game gets chaotic in the higher difficulties and people try to get the reinforce out as fast as possible without worry of accidentally calling in something else that has identical inputs. Its bad ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game design and people need to stop defending this game. Bringing back a teammate should not be one input different from permanently changing the lobby settings for the whole match. Accidents happen. Its why people ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hate laptops where escape is right next to a power key with an identical feel that nobody asked for.
♥♥♥♥ I must be an idiot then cause the weapon nerfs were absolutely cancer, and changing the way fire works ultimately making it worthless right as you add a fire based warbond is simply a poor decision lol
I play using a wide variety of weapons and hated how weak everything was, made the game feel boring cause I was forced into using a specific set of weapons, else suffer the entire game!
So I, and everyone else left to more fun games until stuff changed, and thank god they did cause the game is fun again, albeit still full of problems.
"Act like the game isn't swamped with bugs" What? Aside from people whining about the game being "toO EAsY" (the game *absolutely* has alot of problems with bugs, likely due to the fact the engine for this game is d e a d?)
bugs were a big talking point, typically shut down by the toxic positivity crowd.
Most buffs were "ignored" because the nerfs heavily outnumbered the buffs at the time.
Sorry, but you "The guns never needed to be buffed" / "The community is a bunch of whiners / stupid poo poo heads" crowd are wrong on those fronts. While there are those who absolutely were disrespectful rats, I can also recall every single "These weapons need to be buffed" thread / opinions being met with nothing but insults lol (IE Rec rifle / ATs) End of discussion.
However, on the topic of the SOS beacon, I *do* agree! Admittedly though I've gotten a bit better at it, but I've still managed to accidently call it in 2 out of every other time lmfao
