Low level players on high difficulty maps.
If u are a low level player and still learning the mechanics of the game, just stay on low difficulty and not ruin someone else match. I get it, it's nice to get higher XP but i/we don't wanna carry you and wait for hours till u move a meter and try to fight every single bug/robot on the map. Why isn't there a level cap for high difficulty maps?

I'm more concern with what strategems they are using.

Would it really change things that much? We already have bunch of people, apparently, doing nothing but mortar farming experience.

It wouldn't change anything other than what strategems they bring and you can have everything you need to be a constructive member of the team by level 5 anyway.

Not to mention you have people eradication farming and not knowing how to play the actual game due to it.

Gatekeeping is silly and not very inclusive, which is insane to me for a pve game.

I REALLY think it would change a lot. Quicker sessions. Less deaths, less waiting, less stress for having to do a lot by yourself while others (low lvl players i mean) don't even know what they are doing. Overall would be a much better experience in my opinion. :cleanhourglass:

What is high diff?
I play diff 6 at lvl 9, is that cool by you?
Kalenath Feb 24, 2024 @ 3:43am
IF they have a clue about stratagem use, work with the team, communicate and play smart? I have no problem with them. I have seen level 4 and 5 characters do well on Helldive difficulty.

I have ALSO seen level 50s play like complete morons on anything except mortar defense maps, because that is all they have ever played.

So...

*shrug*

Sadly for now, it is not a balanced game, so if u have wrong stratagems, wrong weapons....you ruin the game. Simple as that.

I pretty much advanced difficulties as I unlocked them personally. Stopped at 4 to learn the basics and then went to 7 where I basically live now.

Locking the higher difficulty out just because you aren't X level feels a bit stiff. If you can complete your missions on current difficulty, it'd feel a bit bad that game wouldn't allow you to try harder content because of magical number.

4-6 is totally doable with lower-level characters. One or two people bringing EAT can often cover enough AT needs in the heat of the moment against bugs even without high-power strategems. Starting from 7 however titans become just a normal part of patrols and bug breaches, every player needs at least one option that can reliably deal with them.

A similar thing is on the bot side, from 7+ flares call in multiple dropships at once, which can also at that point deliver hulks and tanks right on top of you, you need specialized equipment that can hold its own when things get crazy.

But 4-6 is completely fine and imo should be the main focus while you're still unlocking new strategems and unlocking the tier 1 and 2 ship upgrades, which can also make a huge difference on 7+

I was doing 7s by level 8 and was doing fine, I just find it silly that the argument is always an elitism issue of "f those low levels they're not good enough", gatekeeping has no place in a pve game imo, besides, if they can queue for that difficulty then they completed prior difficulties anyway.

You said it right, "IF U can complete", not if others complete them for you (maybe a team of friends :steamsalty: ) .

It's a bit odd to see lvl >10 on Suicide and up. How'd they get there?

No Orbital Laser, no Railgun, no proper sentries. What's that guy gonna do about massed Chargers and Titans or Bot Tanks?
ImHelping Feb 24, 2024 @ 4:18am
Low level players are all benefit because there is no enemy scaling. So it is only an issue if you leave them behind and then try to act surprised they don't have the lategame grind gear to solo things.

But a guy with a half loaded machinegun can help immensely in keeping you from being interrupted by fodder, when the game is wasting your time with inconvenience based padding children think is a challenge these days. (Thanks for watching my back while it took literally eleven tries for the orbital rail to come up instead of airburst)

Please sign here on the dotted line blood pact that you understand no issues in this game are "skill issues". If they were skill issues instead of MMO grind based square peg into square hole design, then nothing but a machinegun and precision orbital with no 2nd or 3rd stratagem would get the job done on helldiver.

I... I'm not sure what you mean. Please, enlighten me, how is one supposed to deal with Bot Tanks without heavy armor piercing weapons or stratagems? Because even their weak point at the back of the turret isn't vulnerable.
