Charger and armor piercing question
EDIT: Corrected topic title to "Charger"

I'm level 13 at the moment and got some questions about this mob in particular.

What weapons should I be using to try and kill this thing as quickly as possible?

So far it looks like a single eagle airstrike nor the 110mm rocket pods is enough to OHKO this thing, the auto cannon's shells appear to bounce off the front head and leg armor.

Is the recoiless rifle and the rail gun the only weapons that can reliably punch through their armor from the front?

Pretty positive he means a charger, considering he's talking about head and leg armor.

The Charger(Crusher?) is only vulnerable to the autocannon on the rear legs and the booty.

If you have a Recoilless Rifle or Expendable Anti Tank, you can fire a rocket at its front legs or rear legs, which will remove the armor. Anyone can then shoot that naked spot with basically any weapon which will kill it within seconds.

This is in my experience the quickest way to kill them, even quicker than the railgun.
But yeah, front is only Railgun/EAT/RR territory.

What's a crusher, do you mean hulks? It's almost entirely covered in heavy armor, which only the railgun or AT weapons can punch through. The faceplate on hulks is a lot thinner however, it takes a good amount of precision, but the AC can kill them in that specific spot after 3-4 hits. The anti-materiel rifle can also kill them through that spot in two shots.

If you are using the EAT disposable rockets, the easiest way to deal with a hulk from the front is to shoot off both their arms. Aim for the shoulder and punch a hole into it, the shot should disable the arm and its weapon instantly. A hulk without arms is practically helpless, it can only approach you slowly and make absolutely pathetic kicks at the air. If you have the opportunity to get behind them the radiator on the back is a huge weakpoint and destroying it with any anti-vehicle weapon (AC/AMR or bigger) will kill the hulk completely.

Yes! Thank you! This was the answer I was looking for, much appreciated!

charger will bounce off every thing from the front or sides which isn't AT

Thre only 3 options from the front are :

>Best - Railgun (lvl20) - No backpack - Two charged hit to a leg will strip armor, then you either swap to main weapon to shoot it or shoot two more time at the leg.
>Fastest - Relcoil-less - need backpack - direct hit to the leg to strip armor, then swap to main weapon
>Disposable - Rocket launcher - can be called anywhere with short cooldown - Allows you to you an other main weapon, as it's disposable. Shoot the leg and swap to main weapon.

Autocanon isn't defenseless against charger. If you manage to hit him 4-5 time in the butt, he should die.

Charger should die from a drect hit of eagle bombing, but if it's even short from 1m, it will survive.

Is it true that the rear legs are the only vulnerable part? When using the auto cannon a you tuber was testing a theory that their legs are vulnerable when the charger is in certain animations like turning around. TBH it sort of seems like that. When I first see a charger I spray him down with the auto cannon and nothing seems to break off. Then after it charges it seems like stuff pops off with ease but it could all be coincidence.

I remember reading that the front legs are also vulnerable from the back and that all legs are also vulnerable on the actual leg (so not the "foot", the part connecting it to the body) but I'm not 100% on either of those, I haven't used the AC in a while.

At the moment the Railgun is the most reliable method for dispatching Chargers quickly imho.

What I've been using prior to reaching lvl 20 was the Flamethrower. No need for aiming, and it's usually enough to dump a full clip into a Charger to bring it down.
