Keyboard text switches to another language [SOLUTION]

I know people have experienced this, so i'm going to save everyone the trouble here instead of imagining others suffer having to search for half an hour to figure out the solution.

So here's the scenario;
You're playing HD2, you're sprinting .. but you need to dive out of the way of that charger coming at you with eyes on the prize of your thighs.
So you dive just in time to avoid a well-placed airstrike that 86's that charger into the phantom-zone.
You open up your chat to thank your fellow Helldiver, only to find that your normal text is replaced with something resembling a demon's hex.

What just happened is that you combined Shift with Left-ALT and entered a windows hotkey to switch your keyboard language input.
Oh no.
How do we fix it?

Step 1: - Press the WINDOWS KEY
Step 2: - Type "Advanced Keyboard Settings"
Step 3: - Hit "Enter"
Step 4: - Select "Input Language Hot Keys"
Step 5: - Ensure the "Advanced Key Settings" Tab is selected
Step 6: - Highlight "Between Input Languages"
Step 7: - Click "Change Key Sequence"
Step 8: - Make sure that the option "Not Assigned" is selected for both "Switch Input Language" and "Switch Keyboard Layout"
Step 9: - Click "Apply" then "OK"

Congratulations!
Now you are free from that horrible oversight and can thank your teammates properly without fear of casting a cheeki-breeki spell on them or cursing their family cow!
