Stalwart or MG?

Which do you prefer? Why? Curious.

MG. I like the Stalwart because of the fast reload, but it is so much weaker. And slower. The MG is usually overlooked because it is an early unlock (or you don't even have to unlock it?), but it eats enemies up.

While too many things that matter are effectively immune to both machineguns so I hardly use them anymore? It is a cycle.

Be glad the basic MG can shred tinfoil minimum armor spam like red bugs, get sick of having to stand still to reload getting you killed when things go bad. switch to stalwart.

Get sick of stalwart deflecting off things the basic MG doesn't, and essentially dealing tickle damage even at max RoF setting and getting tackled by the stuff you are unloading on expecting better performance than an SMG.

Repeat.

Stalwart is more mobile, pretty sure you don't need to stop to reload. But the MG has a lot more stopping power i feel. I personally prefer the MG for that reason alone.

Both are there to cull the small stuff, set them to lowest rof to conserve ammo and be a huge help to your team with either.

I'd rather a lmg or mg over a second railgun, take the supply pack for bonus points.

Keeping the little guys from causing a breach ir commadores from calling in a drop ship is one of the most useful tasks on the team.

Neither, both are awful past like medium difficulty.

Stalwart has no place being a support weapon at all, it should be a primary, its a waste of a support slot.
The MG is a massive trap, it gets out performs by the auto canon in ever single way.
If the stalwart was moved to primary, and the MG could re reloaded on the move, it would have a place, but because you can reload the MG and the Auto canon is basically the same time (The auto canon actually loads faster if you dont shoot the last round) It has no place.

Yes ofc they aren't useful past like medium difficulty etc but just curious which of the two you all prefer.

I tend to use the stalwart more due to being able to reload on the move, and it having a much bigger magazine. It is good for clearing trash mobs quickly, and alright vs light armor if you hit the face/head, Though i think it could be tweaked a bit more.

The MG reload sucks, and its magazine is kind of small for an MMG

Its mag should definitely be bigger. The Stalwarts one is waaay larger.

depends on the situation....if i need to run and gun i will grab the stalwart. Tbh i mainly use the Auto Cannon now.

Stalwart definitely fits the primary firearm role for its weakness. Atleast the heavier MG43 has some punch behind it. I do enjoy using both. Stalwart does great for a fireteam support for small mobs. Such as being a loader for an autocannon or recoilless. But the MG43 with a supply pack and elevated position will lawn mower just about anything.

I main the auto cannon, the stalwart and mg are much better options than it to clear the hundreds of small bugs / bots, faster and better for the job than any primary also.

It's about team comp and covering all the bases.

I suspect those who are against them think you need a shield to play high difficulties and helldive.

The MG has pierce, the stalwart faster/moving reload. I'd use the stalwart in QP and MG with coordinate group.
