Better for no-armour trash, but you can kill that with your pistol, so who cares?
-Guard Dog need to reload and often run out of ammo, weaker dmg, but harder to Team Kill
Rover is overall a better choice, just wait until you can unlock it, use supply pack in the mean time
The Rover are also useful when you need to focus on the big boy like charger, it will take off pressure from small enemy.
The thing can kill 300+ bugs without overheating and your energy meter (From refills.) never depletes. As it stands right now, it is the superior choice for drones because of reasons stated above. Alternatively, it can kill you because the beam is constant and can swing your way.
The guard dog (Regular.) has 7 magazines of ammo before you're out and you only get ammo back from resupply (Either stratagem or someone with a backpack.). It kills way faster than beams, cannot kill you and seems to be functioning properly.
One has less damage than the other (and the laser has inf ammo vs liberator reloads), that's really it.
