Question about sprinting over long distances

When traversing long distances, is it better to just sprint continuously even while your stamina has run out? Or is it better to sprint until your stamina runs out, and then walk while it comes back? This is assuming there are no other threats to consider.

Put on the scout armor and scout helmet and add a boost to running.
Run for a very, very long time, recover and run again.

I alternate sprinting and checking the map for nearby patrols, it's a good habit to have

Or run while watching your radar to avoid those patrols.

scout armor does give you longer run, helmet does not matter.

I'm pretty sure there's a delay to stat your stamina regen when you fully deplete it. I've also outran buddies over long distances by stopping frequently and letting my stamina back up.

False, the scout helmet does give bonus speed.

It's not listed as a bonus but you can easily observe the stat changes when you check your armor stats.

and how did you notice that, in your own mind probably, helmet add ZERO to your character.

you know why, because my friend is as fast, and can run as far as me in the full "scout set" and he only has the armor with the heavy set helmet.

It's not listed on the helmet, look at your armor stats with and without the scout helmet, there is a difference. Armor rating also currently does nothing so make sure to only wear light armor.
