But seriously the automaton escort missions are completely unplayable. They just put a bunch of heavies outside the shuttle bay and kill everything that comes close. Regular weapons are basically useless and special weapons don't have the ammo capacity to deal with the sheer amount of armored units waiting to eat civvies.
Probably best to just leave games where the host insists on wasting everybody's fifteen minutes trying to kick water uphill
All you do is pop a drop ship in one of the rear engines and its an insta-kill and everything inside also dies. Even if they've already dropped, the ship will land on them and kill them.
If you get 2 people with those in a match, it makes it trivial.
If you have tesla towers in the right spots, they can counteract the bots building up. Adversely, if you have them in the wrong spots. They will kill you and your civis too =P.
The worst I get for bugs are 4 bile titans, totally managable. They drop one tank and that's it you're going camping.
The bigger ones can 1 shot you unless you're not running heavy armor, and the biggest ones self destruct which yeah thats fine, but the effects are also extremely blinding. I dont know why quickplay's spamming these trash missions its absolutely anti fun.
Anyway is there a way to blacklist the missions so I don't get matched up to them in quickplay?
The game gives you armor that gives you explosive resistance, use it. The bots also can't shoot through shield relays (You can.) etc.
we won't stop fighting
If there's only one way to play, the game is badly designed.
