Lets talk backpacks
I like the backpacks, they are a great idea as you can do almost whatever with them, the problem is they are not made equal. To explain what I mean lets start, there are right now 3 different types of backpacks

Ammo Backpacks: Includes the Supply Backpack and the 3 ammo ones, Autocannon, Recoilless and SPEAR. I really love these as they promote synergy, and turning into an impromptu human turret its great BUT you should be able to do that by using the backpack the gunner is using.
The same-ish can be said about the Supply backpack, let others take from it as I've had people refusing to share even when I was completely out of ammo, but I also understand why people wouldn't want that so I can live with it not happening.

Offensive Backpacks: Includes Guard Dog and Guard Dog Rover, I like the idea of them but both have problems, Rover being almost more dangerous to your team because Rover don't care whats in front, and Guard Dog running out of ammo fast.
I don't quite know what I would like to have done to them, but maybe adding settings to them, like weapons, so you can choose what they would target.
This could also open up options to make more Guard Dog variants, imagine a Guard Dog with a tiny Autocannon that you can set to only shoot at medium armour enemies or anything like that.

Utility Backpacks: Includes Jump Jet Backpack and Shield Generator Backpack... There is not much to say here, the Jump Jet is just kinda bad, its fun but it charges too slowly to be actually worth over any other backpack, it should really get a buff to let it compete.

Finally while I hope to see more backpacks in the future there'll also come a time where there is too many backpacks to choose from if or when that time comes I hope the devs would consider doing the following:

Upgrade all Helldiver armour, to e.g include the functionality of a backpack (Jump jets as an example). I can't be the only one kinda... surprised by how everything is high up there on the sci-fi scale but the armour isn't. It doesn't even look to be powered armour but rather just some armour.
(I know there is the armour that lets you throw 50% further with the metal armour, no it does not cut it as powered armour)

Well its just something I hope they consider if we ever get to a point where there are too many backpacks.
