"Reduced recoil when crouching or prone" stat

I see this on quite a few pieces of armor, but I'm unsure how useful this stat is. I rarely see people firing in prone or crouched positions, and I certainly rarely remember to do so myself. But am I missing something? All I can think of is that once you get the railgun, this might become a significant advantage. Any thoughts? Thanks!

The Railgun has 1 shot before reloading. Recoil doesn’t matter at all for that weapon.

I use to fire while prone a lot. That's why i usually use a light armor with + less recoil and + grenades.

I am looking for a armor with + grenades and +less explosive damage but i think there isnt one?!

I think so, but I can't remember for sure. Will have to try more crouching, if not lying down prone so much.

Not many people that I have played with use that except for the chance to resist explosion damage. I don't find it very useful. When I crouch, I am using support weapons and they don't usually have much recoil. Maybe with Autocannon, but I dunno. I haven't tried that with Autocannon.

It is not all that useful, consider endgame where you can't barly stand still and you will hit without just fine, with any weapon. You totally dont need it for Railgun also.

its quite n0ticable with aut0matic weap0ns and things like the aut0cann0n

if y0u are n0t using stances i highly recc0mend t0 start using them because n0t 0nly d0 they impr0ve accuracy they keep y0u fr0m dying

y0u pr0gressively take less expl0sive damage fr0m stancing d0wn t0 the p0int where if y0u are pr0ne and n0t getting directly hit by an expl0sive it can reduce the damage y0u take by basically 90%

the aut0mat0ns sh00t high as well s0 if y0u find g00d l0w c0ver 0ften y0u can hunker d0wn in p0siti0n and return fire with0ut much fear

With the rail gun its pointless.
From what i can tell its pretty worthless all together here is why.
When firing from teh crouched or prone position you have to look at the guns its effecting, Take the auto cannon. The problem here is the recoil on the weapon is so great that even a 30% reduction of it doers nothing, so your not really benefiting from it.

The other weapons would be LMGs but LMGs already are incredibly stable while crouched and or prone so again, this does not really help it much at all.

If this bonus was applied to weapons while standing as well, it might be worth it. But right now, nah, its a pass.

It's usefullness remains to be proven in a game where in harder difficulties you're basically dead when you stop moving.

Also, reducing recoil on a single bullet weapon like the railgun won't change anything.
Might be usefull for an autocanon though.

reduced rec0il while cr0uched 0r pr0ne is 0n tw0 seperate passives

f0rtified and engineering kit

f0rtified is 50% reduced damage fr0m expl0sives (very useful as bile spewer and bile titan bile is c0nsidered expl0sive als0 helps with friendly fire)

engineering kit gives 2 extra grenades

there is n0t a passive that gives b0th grenades and reduced expl0sive damage
