Benefit of Machine Gun Sentry over Gatling Sentry?

Quick question. What is the benefit of a Machine Gun Sentry if I can have a Gatling Gun Sentry? Is the Gatling better in every way over a Machine Gun?

Gatling hits a touch harder, but thats due to insane fire rate.

Its major downside is gatling runs out of ammo much faster compared to basic machine gun sentry.

the machine gun sentry turns faster. it wastes less ammo. its also a lot less dangerous to your team

Both weapons have a similar ammo pool and damage output, but gatling will shoot its ammo considerably faster. For defense where want a turret to stay around for an extended period the MG is much more efficient with its ammo reserves, whereas the gatling is much stronger at clearing out a particular group of enemies. Both fill a particular niche in that regard and you can choose depending on which you'll need more of.

Ryken XIV did a video on all MGs raw stats, including turrets, and the machine gun actually has a lower total firing time compared to the gatling. The gatling just has a less efficient firing pattern, so it doesn't of last longer. The Gatling fires about 2x faster for 3x the rounds and does not appear to have weaker bullets (Both have a listed medium pen) (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tccz3X49fFk )
