Stealth is virtually non-existent
And that's not necessarily a bad thing. After all, Helldivers has always been about chaotic levels of bullet hell and blowing up everything for democracy.

However, with scout armor and perks reducing detection range and "marksman rifles", ect... They're basically made redundant the moment combat begins.

Even with smoke stratagems there's no efficient way to sneak through enemy lines, misdirect or exit combat besides running across the map - which is near impossible on higher difficulties where enemy density is much higher.

Stealth is meant to AVOID not make it so you can take out an Outpost without a Robot Drop Pod coming in

Last night we used Stealth to avoid Patrols because they were mostly consisting of those Walkers

Tbh if they added upgrades in the same fashion as HD1, and some of the weapons could be silenced whereas others couldn't, it'd add a while new dynamic to the game, where the best gun for combat isn't silenceable, so you have to choose between being able to maintain stealth, or having a better chance at shooting your way out of problems.

The first Helldivers had a far better stealth presence, you could genuinely ghost around the map doing objectives and avoiding the enemies, then use a bunch of Stratagems to assist when you call for evac. In 2, you can't really do that as much, the enemy call reinforcements from behind cover too much, whereas in the first game they had to see you themselves, which meant you could see and subsequently shoot them.

The closest thing to stealth is avoiding patroling groups of enemies while going from objective to objective, but else that's not what the game was made for.

That's the same in most games with sneaking mechanic.

Snake can use a cardboard box to stealth, but if he's found, then that cardboard box is non-existent.

If you use a ghillie suit in other military shooter and the action start, it's not like the ghillie suit will help you until you lose your enemy.

It kinda is. U can lure patroling units away by throwing a nade far away . They will turn away from their path and move there.
Also moving crouching helps with not being noticed.
