Setting to speed loader would allow you to quickly reload with the same penalty as other magazine-based weapons(bullets still loaded are discarded)
That's probably one of the best ideas I've seen in a while.
^THIS!!!!!!
To be fair, how many Helldivers do you think got training in such specialized weaponry? I didn't see that in my training. (The tutorial :P )
Sidearms can be good as the SMG Pistol is better than most primaries due to its actual good damage output lol
The revolver just reloads far FAR too slow in a game where you fight dozens of enemies at once along with it being "The Future" its a little wild a Speedloader cannot be thrown onto it. Also its ammo pool is pretty small overall.
Considering that they already know how to reload and use the other weapons during the "tutorial", I would assume they were already trained in the weapons they can be issued.
On one hand you have the break action double barrel which delivers 100% of it's power with just 2 shots vs the Machine gun which i think has to shoot 200 rounds to deliver 100% of power. One is instant that demands a high skill level because accuracy is very important, the latter is more for sustained crowd handling.
So each has their place and time. The issue with the revolver, I will admit, is that the reload is painfully slow. It could use slight boost, but I also dont want it boosted so much that every Helldiver I meet invariably uses the revolver only and the rest of the other guns are neglected.
Balance is the key.
The game is barely a day old in terms of gaming longevity. I'm sure we'll see adjustments made here and there.
What are crosshair bugs? Is that when the crosshairs disappears when you reload? Cuz that is a feature not a bug.
Helldivers 1 was made with every intention to get the player killed. The game was built around friendly fire and any other reason the game could kill the player. The game was designed to kill the player.
So when the crosshairs disappears, I'm fairly certain from Arrowhead's pedigree that it's the studios way of messing with us players.
