sry, im not mad at you or anything, its just many ingame doing that. clueless about samples are most hardest / rarest currency to farm.
yes, i know that the mats are much more needed for upgrades, and theyll learn that too. just have some patience, or form a squad of likeminded peeps :)
Defense missions also have about 10 but thats very risky since you can lose them in the evacuation
I like it long and hard, what I don't like is pulling out in the middle because the game kicked everyone on the team from the servers.
The big maps can have almost 40 samples, but it takes forever to find them all. On Extermination they're all in a few easy to find spots.
hunt all the nest (yes it have a sample in it)
playing on lvl 7 difficulty and DO NOT RUSH OBJECTIVE
use all the time you have and you will get at lest 30 sample per mission
This works only for Green Samples.
Find an Eradicate mission on Medium, Challenging, or Hard. All difficulties drop the same amounts, but you can swap difficulties to check missions on a planet since those rotate.
Each mission will take around 3-4 minute tops and depending on the planet each eradicate mission can have 7 or 15 samples. Samples spawn at the same positions every time.
For super samples, find a good fourstack and learn what the super sample poi (big rock looks like an upside down pear) looks like on the map, pick the highest difficulty your are comfortable doing and rush the objective while also grabbing the super sample POI.
Don't do that. The samples are given to everyone. Being the one to bring them home does nothing for you other than a meaningless stat on the end of screen scoreboard, or an achievement for taking home over 15, which you'll get through natural play anyway.
