How did people who had already arrived at solar get there?

Nobody can get to the Sol system.

If you see players listed as being there, it's because they logged in and haven't traveled to any new system.

There is a tutorial. It is likely that the numbers listed for "earth" are for players who are in the tutorial, have not left after the tutorial, or are waiting.

Nobody has gotten there yet, since there hasn't been any defense missions there. The systems you can go now are the same as when the game launched just recently. Maybe in the future we'll be able to visit Sol if we lose a war like LykosNychi mentioned.

I believe the way it works is that until certain planets are actually invaded we won't be able to go to any of the other systems. The Sol system is 100% liberated and controlled by super earth so there's no reason to do mission there. No bug or automaton presence thus far. However if we lose a lot of the border defenses they can and will eventually push to super earth and we'll have to defend it.


TLDR: As of now, no way to go there. Missions there will unlock if we lose a lot of territory.
