how to change character name?

I never really got a chance to choose it just adopted my name from steam, is there a way to change it?

I wouldn't worry, something happened 2 patches or updates ago that stopped steam players from updated Steam names registering as the player name.
Right before the patch, whatever steam name a person had, stuck.
We used to be able to change a steam tag nonstop and it would instantly update to Helldivers 2 character, but they changed something.

This is great and all… but why not give you an option to name your character in the first place? Or let you know it’s going to pull your steam name?

Dropping $60 on a game then not being able to play it and enjoy it because my full legal name is out there sure doesn’t help it giving me and “account reward value”

The main thing is, it's supposed to change it in game each time a player changes their steam name and it's instant.
This I'm betting has nothing to do with the database being backed up.

I sent a bug report on this to Arrow Head, hope they look into it.
It hasn't been on their current issues but we need to make them see it.

Kind of angry about this one - I do not want my full name visible to everyone on quickplay. I entered a ticket with Arrowhead, but didn't get a confirmation email, so I have no idea whether it made a difference.
