Sony stock up again, Sony W
"Sony Group shares rose sharply after quarterly net profit beat analysts' expectations and concerns eased about its bid for media and entertainment company Paramount Global. "

What about that fantasy where Helldivers 2 review bombing did anything to their stock? :lunar2019crylaughingpig:

Thats you only buddy, as pathetic as the guy rallying up the Sony Bros and getting a whopping 2 signatures.

I guess I never saw anyone caring about their stocks really? I hope no one ever expected any of this to put a dent in Sony's bottom line. That would be... unrealistic. But specifically with Helldivers 2, if Sony want to meet their quotas for this project, it seems like the community is still determined that that won't happen except on our terms. I would hope at the very least it would motivate Arrowhead to advocate for their game a bit better.

There were a lot of people on discussions who thought that review bombing caused it :lunar2019crylaughingpig:

The Helldivers hubbub was never going to noticeably impact their stock since they have fingers in many other pies.

Smh people overestimate their importance a bit too much sometimes. Do you mind me asking, what's your take on all of this? I've seen you post several discussions and comment on mine. I respect your stance either way. Do you have an opinion?

AH is ruining the game with their balance updates, Sony did little wrong as of now, review bombing and refunds forced them to at least temporarily block 180 regions, as Ghost of Tsushima would've been inferior product without PSN so people could've abused that to get refunds after completing it.
And since Helldivers 2 has kinda strongly integrated PSN, I'd guess they're considering their options

Who claimed it did? Whoever told you that, you should stop paying attention to them.

Sony as a company is way to big to care about Helldivers. Why do you think they did the forced PSN move that shuts down almost 2/3 of the player bases ability to play?

Sony as a company doesn't care. Sony Interactive Entertainment does care. The Parent Company doesn't. Helldiver's profits probably don't even move the needle on the charts and if it did.. maybe by a pixel or two.
