Expect an unannounced Super Credit nerf to compensate for a slower warbond schedule.
Slowing down warbond production for higher quality content is a great thing. Everyone should be happy about this. However, it is unlikely Arrowhead slows their warbond schedule while keeping SC spawn rates the same. It's likely they'll quietly edit the spawn rates to roughly keep the same threshold of players who can afford them for "free" through playtime and players who have to pay for warbonds with real money.

I highly recommend you pay attention to your SC gain rate going forward and try to notice if it's lower over time.

Firstly, we’re slowing down the pace at which we release Warbonds to give us a little bit more time to polish these designs before they’re released. We don’t want to rush anything out of the oven before it’s fully baked.

People been claiming sc nerfs since pretty much day 1
Pure speculation

Nobody expected their SC system to stay forever(Well I guess some did?)

They've built up enough warbonds that if you started TODAY, you would need 5K SC's just to get everything.

So the Up-front entry cost will only grow as the game gets bigger.
(more warbonds to catch up on)
It's why they only put 1 good item in each warbond.

People, wanting that one thing, will get the whole warbond.

At the end of the day, the game gave away the grift when they announced the Datamining PSN debacle.

This game is now 100% about profiting off the players.
Development is GONE for the game experience, which will only decrease in quality.
Now it's just an unexpected cow to milk.

Nonsense.

you know, helldivers 2 is the only live service game i know of where you can grind in-game premium currency at a pretty reasonable rate, even (especially) at lower difficulties. I haven't paid for a single warbond. You can grind a good 50-100 SC in an hour. I haven't felt like i had to buy credits at any point in the game.

People really should be much happier about this, considering the monetization that happens in other games like this.
LoboFH Jun 6, 2024 @ 7:30am
I don't think it will happen, the SC's drop rate has been already nerfed enough, in missions 7 exploring everything it's usually 10-30, sometimes 0.

Yesterday I even played a match with most loot boxes empty, perhaps it was a bug or a conection issue.

True enough.
It also largely effects the players that weren't here the whole time.
Since they've been grinding it since day 1.

I have been expecting it to be removed/reduced dramatically.
Which will suck, if/when it happens.

See this thread to understand why you have been duped in to believing Arrowhead is your friend.

Yeah I read that post.

OP is fundamentally not comparing the monetization of HD2.
To ANY other modern game.

The overall permanent cost of HD2 is still 40$

The overall permanent cost of any DLC based game?
Is higher.

The overall permanent cost of subscription based games?
Is higher.

The HD2 model is one of few models that does allow you to unlock ALL current game content through playing the game.

This is not true for Diablo 4
This is not true for Warthunder
This is not true for CoD
This is not true for APEX legends
This is not true for almost EVERY SINGLE CURRENTLY EXISTING GAME.

So the OP is wrong in his premise that the HD2 model is not consumer friendly.

Anyways.
I agree with you here.
And disagree with that OP there.

Not hard to point out the differences in opinion with that OP.

Only the hottest of takes
Bro you've not been paying attention.

Day 1 they dropped thousands of SC per SC pickup. People were swimming in it.

These days Helldivers are all living in the orphanage from Oliver Twist. We have to go back to ask permission for a second super credit, and then get ridiculous for daring to want a whole two supercredits for a full days work. The struggle is so real. And not made up at all.

They can adjust the SC system at any time without telling us. If they feel too many players are getting warbonds for free they'll nerf SC spawns and it doesn't matter if they've nerfed them already before. There's still a trick to farm 1000 SC easily in minutes that they haven't patched yet since they don't know about it.
Could be, but usually microtransactions, loot boxes, premium currency, etc, work the same way in these games, a huge majority don't spend real money, a minority spends a lot. It's not like they will panic if 90% of the players don't spend real money, it's what it is.

I would love to know data about the porcentage of Star Citizen players buying just the starter pack or spending thousands of dollars in premium packs. The age average of Star Citizen supporters is different though.

I bought all warbonds for free, lot of armour and have almost 5k SC, never farmed SC's in low difficulties except for science (I don't think it's worthy), so that was a lot of hours in a game a enjoy and play a lot in difficulty 7+, I think the stealth nerf was obvious but players can still get SC's in a very fair manner.

This is the clownest take I have seen so far.

Show me a SS of a "Thousands" SC bundle.
I can wait.
(SInce if you can, I would laugh and laugh and laugh)

Used to be able to pick up piles of 100sc in higher difficulties.
Rarely see them now, don't think I've had a 100 pile in months.
Seemed to have switch from 100sc to 20sc piles now.

Max 10SC per mission.
This is what you all wanted, right?
