BSDOS Blue Screen of death, can't even launch the game anymore.
Greetings,
I don't know how or why but I can't play nor even start the game anymore.
Clicking the START button either doesn't launch the game or leads to a black screen that clashes my whole PC.

I've had little to no issues with Helldivers before in my almost 130h of playtime and was able to play until a couple days ago.

I don't have any OverClock ( Ram GPU CPU are all stock) no memory errors via the windows checker, tried to DDU my graphic drivers and make a clean install, uninstalled, reinstalled and verified the game files. Nothing works and I'm lost.

Everything else on my computer works fine, I have no issues whatsoever with any other games or programs, my computer works flawlessly.

I also tried

DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /Restorehealth
SFC /SCANNOW in powershell admin and there isn't any Windows issues either.

What the ♥♥♥♥?

Broken Windows that cause AntiCheat to crush OS
Hardware issue (SSD/HDD, overheat, RAM issue, PSU issue)

>no memory errors via the windows checker
It's sh1t, you need TestMem5 + Anta config for proper ram testing

This especially looks like when AC trying to initialize something went wrong and it breaks something.
To not waste your time on searching the problem I'd recommend you just reinstall OS. Otherwise you have to check logs of AC or Game and see what's going on. You also can try to reinstall Anti-Cheat and find out will it work or not.

A friend of mine also got something similar when he tried to play in Valorant the vanguard (also kernel-level AC) crushed his PC too into bsod or blackscreen. He updated Bios and Intel ME, it fixed the problem, so if you have Intel CPU try to do that too.

Thanks for taking the time to read and answer me !

I did the disk scan and no issues were found. I use HWinFO to monitor my temperatures & power draw, both seems normal (using an RM850x)
I tried to reinstall Anti-Cheat, without success.

I'll look into TestMem5 + Anta, had no ideas windows mem tests were meh.
I'm on an AMD 5600x, can't be the same issue as your mate with Valo unfortunately.

I'll wait a bit before heading to the complete OS reinstall because until like the day before yesterday and the latest update, everything was completely fine and I didn't have any new windows updates that could've broke the game's anti-cheat.

It also seems like a lot of people are having similar issues since the latest patch.

Black Screen because of Merida?

Jokes aside, Windows test the RAM for just a few minutes while a proper memtest86 takes well the whole night.

What you describe is a hardware issue, not an OS issue. Make sure to clear cache, temp files etc. But it is most likely RAM related if otherwise it worked.

You should also start the game properly resettled aka disable Steam Cloud, shader pre caching and then delete the files for the game within Appdata folder.

I could give you more information but I don't know a specific of the problem. It could be software issues, could be hardware issue. For both scenarios I have a script what to do.

If it's software issues then most radical and easiest way will be just reinstall OS, but if you don't want to then you could spend hundreds of hours to find out what's the root of the problem.

If it's hardware problem then reinstalling OS don't help you, and there is many ways how to diagnose your PC.

For HDD/SSD - Victoria HDD
For RAM - TestMem5
For CPU - Cinebench or Prime95 or other CPU load with all possible instructions, Aida64 has some CPU test, they are short but you can spam them.
For GPU - any benchmack like 3DMar but personally I'm preferred heavy games that can utilise each part of PC, for example: God of War 4 somehow can load any GPU to 100% w/o CPU bound, The Last of Us as well, The Finals is F2P online PVP game which using CPU and GPU at their maximum. Heavy games will also PSU checkers.

And very very very important thing: sometimes defects are floating, so they are hardly catchable, sometimes, if you had RAM issues for example, everything could work fine for 5-10 hours in a row, sometimes you will be crashing multiple times in 15 minutes, so be patient and spend 2-3 hours to test EACH part of your PC. Yes it takes a lot of time but it's free for you.

And... To quick find out is it SW or HW issue, you can cut some space on any HDD/SSD, install new OS there, and test the game w/o complete reinstalling OS.

P.s. did you set your ram in DOCP or XMP mode? If yes - disable it. I've noticed that many ppl having issues cuz they are turned on XMP and their platform can't handle with it

Uninstall game remove the game folder from steam library,Do a clean install of graphics drivers, install game restart PC and play worked for me.
you might want to head over to the anti-cheat section and read about the game's anti-cheat unique capability and 2 decades worth of reputation, it might surprise you.
