From half a million to barely 25k users in 3 months
Do you remember how they sold copies over server capacity?
It's good to see that people finally realized this game is a scam

Na. Its not that. Players are just bored. Nothing new. Its no Fortnite, that burns developers and call them "bodies" to deliver new stuff every 3 week or so.
It was never expected to have a very high playerbase. HD1 had a playerpeak of 7k players.
It was just the hype that pushed the game. Now, the stream followers are gone and it will go its "normal" way. Just several 1000 players that will enjoy the game.

Says more about human nature than anything else.
If we aren't killing each other, we're not having any fun.

201 hours on record and somehow it was a scam for you.. Lol. Sure thing. Thanks for having an opinion like every other clown begging for attention because negative opinions are "Edgy" :steamhappy:

These posts are so brain dead man, no games on steam are keeping 200k+ player counts except a few, this is such a normal thing for new games releasing and yet I keep seeing people post crap like this as if its the only game to lose 85% of its concurrent players after release.
Go look at steam charts and see every other game that isnt warzone/pubg/apex/CSGO has the same trend.

Well it's also the fact alot of players were in countries were PSN is not available. The game is not a scam just that at least 1/4 maybe more of the player base can no longer play due to region lock. They had something special here and just shot themselves in the foot... why don't know. That and the bad patches well... yeh hopefully the next "godsend" patch will at least start to bring players back if it doesn't oh well they had lightning in a bottle and blew it.

Thats how "going viral" works
Huge spike of initial interest followed by a decline to the core user base
No doubt that certain things have caused discontent for many, but population decline is inevitable
Popularity is fickle

Tbh that can be true. People can get addicted to and waste hours on a bad game because of certain manipulation/addiction techniques like the SC/warbond system.

I mean i played BG3 for 100 hours which is less, yet comparing it with this would be the joke of the century.
If it's a bad game you don't waste 200 hours, maybe 3-4 to understand that the game it's bad. 200+? you just bored and now you spit ♥♥♥♥ on the game maybe because they nerfed your usual loadout and now you suck

ah yes, another one of those "lets look at the player count when the majority playerbase is offline" people. The steady average is around 60,000 daily players, which is pretty healthy
Games like warframe only have around 30-40,000 daily players and you don't see anybody calling that a dead game

5 months, during a content drought, after psn drama that is still ongoing, ontop of lack of gamebreaking bugs being fixed.

I think its pretty justified...

game isnt bad. at all. just has a lot of things to iron out.

people will return. they always do.

It's fair to point at that many of the biggest games on the planet aren't on steam.

Like Roblox, Minecraft , League of legends, valorant or Fortnite.

Fortnite usually has around 1.5 million active players.

Fortnite started as a dinky 4 player action shooter too.

Did you even read my post? It doesnt matter if a game is good or not for someone to spend hundreds of hours. All you need is the appropriate ways to addict them. There are people spending a hundred hours on mobile games. I remember someone spending like years in Farmville

All playtime means is that you are hooked. Nothing about quality. I hated warframe and played like 300 hours
there was no server, this game is peer 2 peer. Exactly why it plunged

they expected around 20k players max.

also there arent "copies" of a digital game. they are infinite.

new meta weapons will do that, rather than global tactics.
