And no, the irony hasn't escaped me lol...
Only implemented changes matter.
Next Patch is make or break.
Future patches may happen, but only the next one matters.
If you are against bait posts, why are you adding one?
This is not a bait post this is a genuine thing for me to say as a Game dev myself, That people do these kinds of things and disheartens developers.
This. Is. Not. A. Bait. Post
You’re assuming it is when it’s not, I made the post, you clearly didn’t read it.
Old games were also made to be done then and there, now we live in a time where updating the game with new content keeps the game alive, Which I understand people get bored, peoples attention span has also just gotten significantly lower I’ve noticed.
As an older gamer, this isn't exactly true. the only reason games die is if a) they're not worth remembering or b) the hardware no longer exists that will run them. Content has nothing to do with it, or at least not as much as you would think. A classic is still a classic and will always be a classic.
No one will be playing any of this live service crap that's about today 20 years from now. They will however still be playing the classics of yesteryear. Bubble Bobble, Mario, Sonic Trico Golden age Coin-Op stuff etc... It's guaranteed.
It's like people expect all video games to be nothing but perfection in one of the worst time period to be a game dev. With deadlines, layoffs, higher ups stupid agendas and consummers crying out loud for the most minor incovenience and not understanding ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about how games are made and the time it takes.
At this point I seriously wonder what are these people's threshold of what is considered quality and good management, because I cannot think of a single game that fits those requirements
I feel like the further you stay from any video game communities, the better it is.
I agree to this.
THIS FOR SURE
