Automatons and Terminids : one is fun, the other is NOT.
...and you already know i am referring to the Automatons! At least, they are not fun to fight anymore.

Most issues i have with them are tied to the increased patrol spawns and the increased amount of Devastators , which if anything highlight the issues the Automatons already have.

To clarify, most missions with Automatons i did BEFORE the patches, i found challenging but fair and could do "Suicide Mission" or above easily , and even going Solo i could at least sneak past with no issues and find Super Samples and Super Credits.

Now i treat every mission with the Bots as a "Blitz" mission! And most random high level players that join me do the same!

Here is a list of the bugs i encountered with them, which just make the Bots worse :

-getting damaged by tank treads AFTER the tank got blown up
-bots climbing rock formations or canyons
-bots merging with the terrain, but still being able to shoot through terrain
-limbs and weapons being detached from the main body of the Bots but STILL being able to shoot at me
-rockets teleporting to my face without even taking off first as if the explosion gets teleported on my location.
-getting launched in the air by one rocket, ragdolling on invisible surfaced then dying
-Shield Deavastator's gatling gun following my movements independently from the rest of the body (which makes me suspect they are aimbotting)

The increased enemy numbers may work fine for Terminids (i did play them for a while, never felt too much difference even on higher difficulties) but for an enemy that can saturate the map with bullets and rockets, the artificial increased difficulty REALLY makes itself known.

DESIGN WISE, i'd also advocate for the following...

-more tought out enemy spawn formations, in a way that make the bots actually fun to engage instead of "gottakilltemfastotherwiseiamded"

-Devastators, as heavy weapon speacialist, should be fewer in numbers to boost regular troopers.

-Rocket Devs should have lenghtier recharge time between barrages, firing one every 3 seconds it's too much, even the long ranged Hulks have a longer cooldown

-Shield Devastators shouldn't have a gatling, but the regular Devs arm weapon, and if you really want to have Devastator with a Gatling, at least remove the shield.

-Hulks SHOULD have an audio cue , their flamethrower should one-shot up close

-Maybe have some support/defensive options for the bots, maybe more Troopers variants?

My main wish for the bot front is a turned down knockback/knockdown from near misses, or even hits. Nothing is less fun then watching your character ragdoll all over the place. And sometimes you're facing alot of rockets/missles/cannon towers and i could just aswell go downstair to grab a drink while my character is just rolling around.

I find the terminids less fun due to the constant slow effects, ass backwards weakpoints, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ instakills and janky hurtboxes, the bots are more difficult but at least when I die it feels fair.

On the Bot being "fair" i'd have lot to argue about, i mean it's fair when i am not getting ragdolled or a patrol comes up behind turning my positioning useless.

But yeah, the "slow down" effect is problematic when there are more than 2 bugs spitting bile on you, because you LITERALLY become unable to move.

Everytime i see a Bile Spitter (the tiny ones) or a Hunter i prioritize them above all else, otherwise you get munched.

I like the slower, measured, and tactical combat of the bots. Yes there is some BS, normally around heavy devastators being able to shoot through their body/shield or bots getting stuck in terrain or Rocket Devastators being invulnerable to the rear/side upper chest, but most of the combat is on the up-and-up.

Bots are a bit sad that I cannot reasonably bring a mech, but lots of other weapon combinations work on them and I like rocking heavy armor.

I do bring Heavy Armor with 'blastproof' as well.

My biggest issues are said "BS moments" because when every Helldiver you have counts, i am not going to let it slide when the game behaves inconsistently.

and like i said, before the increased patrols, i could manage on my own, but not with the increased patrols.

Nah mate , automatons are very fun except from turrets shooting you across the map
Hunter bugs are the most annoying little ♥♥♥♥♥ that make the game awful

Bugs are ok so long as you dont have to fight the spewers, thoes guys are not fun.

But the robots are defiantly the more fun option. way more tactical combat. The feel of chaos and ♥♥♥♥ hitting the fan with lasers flying past you all the time.
My only complaint with the bots are the missiles bois never miss all their rockets, one is guaranteed to hit you. I'm glad its not an instant kill any more but being rag dolled non stop gets old.
And pro-tip: Dont lay down when fighting bots, because one missile will ALWAYS hit you, laying down just means its going to be a headshot.
