You could play Helldivers instead. Otherwise wait a few years. Time will fly
You will more than likely get beaten once they find out but it is what it is ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
... and this should not be possible at all...
Questionable to begin with. If they can access these forums there should be no issue with the game at all, age-wise.
sure, dismemberment limbs & gore is nothing, right...
this is a statement from a not parents side
Youll grow into it. :3
Have you actually played the game? It is as realistic as Looney Tunes in regards of violence. Seems more like you have no idea what parents are supposed to be if you underestimate psychological influences.
Maybe the German and Australian versions are censored? Really though it should be an option, considering there's probably a setting somewhere that could toggle blood textures, blood effects and dismemberment in general.
Ugh, just imagined a future where they remove blood and gore and then sell it pack to us as a DLC lol
Write an essay for your parents. Argue the pro and con of you getting to play helldivers. List the violence and dismemberment as a con, explain why it might be damaging for a young mind to be subjected to it... and then counter it by highlighting the social aspect of the game, argue that many of your friends are playing and that the harm of being kept from the social activity with your friends is harmful to a young developing mind.
Put some real effort into it. The more effort and research you put into this, explaining the pro and cons based on the values of your parents and how the cons are outweighted by the pros... and hand it to your parents.
It is a long shot, but with some luck your parents will not only recognize the effort you put into this, and with that the importance of the subject matter to you... as well as if you make good arguments for letting you play the game. Like pointing out that it is an anti-war satire that purposefully uses the violence to highlight the atrocities of war, and the potential educational value of letting you experience first hand how terrible war can be, while in a safe environment... and how that can be beneficial to your development in the long run.
As i said.. the more effort you put into this, the more swaying power your arguments will get and the more likely it is that your parents will recognize the effort you put into it and might allow an exception (as well as the maturity of your person to have done this research and learned about the cons of why they might object to it)
You likely already heard their arguments as to why not... use them, examine them, steel man them as much as you can. And then counter them with researched arguments.
This is likely quicker than waiting for the Devs to add a non violent mode to the game.
And fight bots, they're not even real people technically
