It's been suggested a couple of times in the Discord that as a story event Joel will look at the progress behind the scenes and decide whether we'll succeed or not.

Also suggested that the Liberation bar is not necessarily a good measure of how close we are to turning the planet into a temporary black hole. We may be getting tiny amounts of liberation by completing missions, but that's not really what we're diving for anymore.

I don't care really. If they want players to be invested in their metagame (galaxy campaign) they need to make them invested. It should be more open to players - where are supplies routs on map (one that connect planets and create a choke points), where are metrics of enemy presence on planets? Why should we care if only thing we get - useless medals?

I have no idea how to even track our progress in blowing up the planet. Usually there's a progress tracker in the Major Order menu, but not for this.

It's also impossible to get more than 1/5 completion for this mission no matter what you do.

Yeah the mission always fails, we did this mission now over 10 times and always in the end "MIssion failed" so we are going somewhere else because it's a bit dissapointing to get the Fail screen all the time.

You can see the medals get awarded right after the Disgraceful Conduct rating because the mission will still count as a success as long as the objectives are completed as usual.

I went on the Discord, everyone is having a meltdown over the Objectives not being registered and all missions only giving 1 star. There doesn't appear to be any Devs or Community Managers quenching the flames either, so no word from anyone at Arrowhead or Discord on fixing this on time..

It's dumb that the objectives are broken but the mission still gives the medals so the only loss is a bit of experience.

True about midnight. But this mission was patched in weeks ago or even longer. They just never tested this whatsoever??? What the ♥♥♥♥ AH, this mission is broken in every way.

I would assume that almost all the content that has been added after release was ~90% done months, or even years, before the release so it's possible that AH just follows some internal release schedule and couldn't be bothered to test the mission because the studio is focused on something different at the moment.
