Is the DM really just moving a slider every 10 minutes with the other major orders, too? Seems to me like after this much time SOME form of progress should be visible on the Miridian bar. Nothing at all.

We should have some under-the-hood way of verifying our impact on missions where each team has their contribution logged and can be verified. Otherwise the source of our progress is "Trust me bro".

Or does this all stem from the mission objectives not completing because no one proof read the work before publishing it?

The game is really bad at telling you information. Every planet not under Super Earth's control has a regen bar. If the regen bar is 1%, than the planet unliberates itself by 1% every hour. At the beginning of the MO Meridia had 10% regen (the most I've seen before that is just 5%), but now it has 8,7%. At this rate we'll win the MO. We're doing something, it's just that Arrowhead is really bad at telling you about it.

If you want a site which I was talking about, than just type "Helldivers 2 interactive map" and pick the one that suits you the most.

This has been a thing for months.

There are several websites tracking the galactic progress using the API, data mined information and our own player testing combined to generate all stats.

As examples. I personally prefer the first as its easier to digest for me,. but the 2nd one has more information, and not just about the galactic map.
