2 Exosuits?
So uhhhh, any reason why I can't run both in a mission? Too much fun I guess...

the devs still suck and dont want you to have fun

While you should be able to run both, why would you want to? Both of them suck.
Awau May 29, 2024 @ 7:25pm
could in the first game but this time we have alexus around so he probably had a hand in the loss of that mechanic :steamsad:

You can sometimes equip 2 by using an exploit and it's actually a fun build when you do that.

Fun isn't allowed though so for god knows whatever reason they prevent you from equipping two.
It's almost like they didn't even play the first game themselves.

They're good, but they don't last super long and require some good ammo discipline.
If you equip two and use them sparingly you can pretty much finish one and have a one minute cooldown max for the next one.

If you just have one they completely fall to the backdrop and you'll have to focus on other stratagems anyway.

My thought would be that they don't want you to be in a mech for the entire game. It would also be kind of unbalanced if everyone took two mechs, so your entire team was walking around in mechs the entire game. People like to say they suck but there isn't anything in the game that could stop 4 mechs.
Frosty the Pyro May 29, 2024 @ 7:50pm
Mechs use more system resources than other stratagems, the high and low of it is it could result in more crashes, and though the devs want to work on that and remove the restriction, they aint there yet.

Though you can aparently use stratagem switching to equip both anyway.

Full map clears take longer in mechs simply because they are slow and you have to get out to pick up samples/super creds/medals and call in gems. Both suck against heavy enemies.

you can, but i think its an exploit, just select a one exosuit, a sentry and another exosuit, after this you can switch the sentry for something else

They don't have to be perfect to be fun though.
They're great against heavies too, even the emancipator with seemingly non-AT turrets can kill a charger with a fair amount of headshots.
Even using a mech build you can strategically call them in near objectives to minimise slow movement.

On smaller distances from obj to obj i kept up to my teammates fairly well tbh

Fantastic, this means they are a good pick for 4 and 5. When the bile shows up, it's game over.

No reloads....and on helldive while they might be every effective against bugs the ammo lasts 1.21 seconds before running out. might as well just take another stratagem.

they are not slow. They look slow because they are bigger so the limbs move slow, but each step has more traversal. So unless you are running light armor, they are not slow at all. If anything they move faster because they don't run out of stamina.

p.s. mechs walk so fast you can actually dodge charger charge with it

Stop right there, why would you run anything else? Speed is both efficiency and the best defence I'm this game.
