Will this game give any discount on summer sale?

I suppose it depends if it's true that they want the playerbase to reach 1-2k.

If they don't this will probably go on sale with Steam summer sales is my guess.

So I would imagine ....no.
They won't be doing a sale.

well idk if you guys are being sarcastic or not, if not why would they want their game dead? lol, also do i need PSN account to be able to play this game? idk what the state of this game right now

I'll be optimistic and say there's a small chance. They've gotten their first big number announcement with 12 million copies sold. If Sony wants to inflate that more in a small amount of time, then a discount for the sale would be good. I wouldn't expect anything more than 5-15% at the very most.

If we're looking at realistic likelihood. I don't see a sale happening until maybe fall at the earliest. That's considering the game only came out almost 4 months ago. Even then, there's a very real possibility that it wont happen until next year. But who knows? We'll just have to wait and see.

The point that AH doesn't want a big playerbase for weird reasons is often brought up by those trying to defend AH's behviour.

Looking at AH, it can't be said that it doesn't look that way. Also considering stuff they said, they could actually be convinced having a smaller playerbase would be better.

So yeah, I think it's retarded but also not beyond them.

Don't know if Sony is pulling the strings on pricing or if Arrowhead still has control, but maybe look at Arrowheads other games sale history to see how greedy or generous they are when it comes to putting their games up on sale.

Obviously won't help if Sony is in control, but at the same time a big dumb corporation that has an interest in keeping their "front" in a good light might see the value in throwing around sales here and there. Did any of the other Sony "exclusives" get sales? Horizon Zero Dawn, God of War etc etc, anything like that?

If they did then you can probably bet this game will too at some point.

at the rate the player base went down after the Sony fiasco, they'll probably hold one soon just to get interest back, or they might wait until a more substantial update to grease the wheels a bit.
