i need a pelican to drop off some none hell diver troops to "not be a distraction so i can drop 380's on our position". Where are the other (less) important citizens of super earth!

I received the finest 15 minutes of training that Democracy provides. Why would Super Earth go through so much time and expense to train me for 15 minutes if I wasn't an elite soldier?

You do know that was a graduation training right? That wasn't the only training your guy got that's the only training you got to see to earn your cape.

Actually we're the expendable troops. I guess super earth regularly face overcrowding and throw their youth in excess into the grinder of war.

Those are elite colonists who received a donation from super earth in the form of firearms because super earth has faith in their capabilities to defend democracy while performing agricultural and geological experiments around dangerous alien life forms.
