Yea that's just a bug not everyone has I git the armor & it works fine I did have that happen to the green scout armor & changing body type fixed it.

Writing it here in case anybody else is experiencing this issue, try turning up your Object Detail Quality. I had the same issue and having it on low seemed to cause it.
