People can still join if you have set it to "friends only"
Just a heads up guys that even if you set your privacy to "friends only", people can still join your game.

So if people are wondering why are hosts kicking them out instantly, that is the reason.

I just had this happen again.
Started a mission and have checked if my game is set to "friends only" to be sure that nobody will bother me.
And people already joined me on the ship even before deployment.
I had to write them that i wanted to do a private game and had to kick them. And as soon i kicked them, new people arrived.

I checked again and game was still set to "friends only"
(And no, those were not my friends from my friend list)

MAybe i'm blind as hell but never seen such option.
The only code you can add is the friend code under "social" option to search for a friend.

But again, seting the game privacy to friends only should generally prevent anyone to join your game whi isn't on your friend list.

I also noticed if you open the menu to turn the receive volume of someones mic, because they are too loud it doesn't work as well.

I am almost 95% sure that for the privacy settings in a lobby to take effect, you need to restart your game.

I had the opposite issue once: I was playing with a group of friends, half of them left, but me and another friend wanted to play higher difficulties.
So made it public in the settings, but no one ever joined. Even after deploying an SOS beacon.

Pretty sure he confused it with the friend code for sending friend requests.

Definitely not the only reason for all kicks, but for me personally that would be the reason 99.99% of the time, setting is bugged af, doesnt seem to happen again after switching the settings back and forth every new login session
