Current network connection has been lost. (Possible) Fix

I was having some Connection Error: The current network connection has been lost. almost every 5-10 minutes during missions and it was really annoying. It was definitely not my internet because it was still giving me this issue when playing private missions solo. Tried turning Crossplay OFF but still the same. However I want to share a solution that might help other fellow Helldivers that keep disconnecting mid-mission. I applied this fix and 30+ multiplayer missions later with others, I haven't gotten disconnected mid-mission.

You'll have to tinker the Firewall rules in Windows for this.

1. From your Start Menu search Windows Defender Firewall with Advanced Security

2. On the left side you'll see Inbound Rules and Outbound Rules. Select Inbound Rules and search for HELLDIVERS™ 2 . This rule is created after installing the game. Double-click the HELLDIVERS™ 2 inbound rule to open its settings.

We're not going to change anything on this inbound Rule, so be sure not to modify anything. We just need to get the program executable directory.

3. Go to the Programs and Services tab and under This program copy the entire executable directory including the .exe name. This might be different depending on where you installed the game.

Just a sample of what to copy: C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Helldivers 2\bin\helldivers2.exe

4. Select Cancel on the opened HELLDIVERS™ 2 inbound rule and this time select Outbound Rules on the left. If you notice Helldivers 2 does not have any outbound rules so we'll create the 2 rules manually.

5. Right-click Outbound Rules on the left and select New Rule...

6. Select Custom, Select Next

7. Select This program path: and paste the copied directory path including the .exe from the Inbound Rules that was copied in Step 3. Select Next

8. Change Protocol type from Any to TCP on the drop down. Select Next twice.

9. Select Allow the connection. Select Next twice.

10. Give the new rule any name you want. I named mine Helldivers 2 TCP then click Finish

11. Repeat Step 5 to 7, then on Step 8 instead of TCP select UDP on the drop down this time then do the same until Step 10. There should now be 2 rules, 1 for TCP and UDP for Helldivers 2 after all steps has been followed on Outbound Rules.

12. Restart the computer and try playing the game with others. Hopefully you will no longer get the Connection Error: The current network connection has been lost. issue mid-mission.

This might not fix all Network Error issues for others as the cause might be different from player to player but hopefully this resolves some issues on some fellow Helldivers.

so far it works, it usually throws me out 1 time per hour, after that I lost about 2 hours and everything was ok

I was also having random disconnects with the same error message. "Connection Error: The current network connection has been lost." I deleted the two inbound rules for Hell Divers 2. I was able to play without any issues after that.
