Make Helldivers 2 MAC compatible please.
I would love to see Helldivers 2 compatible for Mac so I can play this on the go as well, I know there are workarounds but as opposed to having to take ridiculous steps to make it work it would be awesome for the devs in the future when things settle a little more for them to take the time to port it to MAC as well.

I can and do play it already on PC but it would be great to be able to play mobile on my Mac as well. Peas and tanks.

With the very poor optimization on Windows, I highly doubt that they will do anything on the Mac...

Get a handheld instead. Like the ROG Ally.

It has W11. Is powerful enough to play every game with 30-60 fps. And its much better than any laptop when playing on the go. You can even connect it to a docking station and play on a huge TV screen while using a controller. This turns it into a PC console.

Mac OS version is very unlikely.
HD 2 is developed with Stingray engine, which is no more developed or updated - Autodesk stopped it's development in 2018. I assume Arrowhead's programmers' work was very difficult because of this.

Now, the engine itself is not marketed as MacOS compatible and because it won't be updated, Arrowhead would have to make it compatible on their own, and MacOS user share is very small - I would not hope they'll port it.

BUT! There's hope that Crossover might make the game work under MacOS, just wait and monitor the news.

For a Crossover release the main Problem isn‘t the engine, its the anti-cheat software. Many multiplayer games can‘t run with Crossover because of the anti cheat doesn’t work with it.

i am affraid mac will fry it's hardware cause of this. It's mostly working laptops made for mobility and quality work. I just remember when mac were strugling even with genshin on the start. So this will be more of a helldive for mac than not so heavy game like genshin.

You could get a Steam Deck, it works flawlessly there on Linux and it's perfectly portable for on the go gaming. No extra steps needed, just install: wait: play. Updates are so much quicker too, no hr+ wait time for all the Windows updates & reboots to update again with a fresh device.

In a nutshell: Macs are unfit for gaming. Period.

No. Modern Macs can run modern games very smooth. Even the lowest m1 Macbbok with no active fan can run Death Stranding, Resi 8 and Resi 4 Remake. And even Windows Only Games run well with Crossover like Cyberpunkt 2077.
Helldivers 2 could run well on Mac. If it runs on an Steam Deck, it would even more run on Modern Macs (with Apple Silicon).

I own a steam deck, Just would be nice to be able to play on a screen larger than a smart phone. The game is great and I love it and the optimizing has come so far for PC so hopefully with time MAYBE it can be done but god only knows.

Well, plug your deck to a bigger screen.

mac can be good gaming hardware it has the capacity in compute power. will blitz a deck or ally for sure but apple made sure it can't right in the hardware. it refuses to process games.

Where've you been lately? They've been porting AAA games left and right over to the Mac and it's been outperforming everything in its weight range. Mac are *now* made for gaming, right in the hardware.
