The railgun, broken op, or just broken?
With all the user reports i have read, i would say the gun is not working as intended.

How can so many people not agree? independent testing done by many and we see many different results posted.

I see people claim you are not hitting it the right spot, it need to be the side of the head, or the mouth, or just as it is about to spit. Even these people do not agree, we have no clear answer on how many shots it takes to kill a bile titan.

tbf it just feels like the bile titans spwan with different hp as sometimes i drop that red laser orbital cannon onit i forget the proper name and i can kill them with it in 1 shot where other times i have dropped the same onit and it just tanks the hit and continues the chase

I think it's fine.
If there were ways to deal with enemies that wasn't just shattering armor or nuking them, I think there'd be less reliance on the Railgun.

And there's a bug where apparently bile titans die faster to support weapons if there's a ps5 host so that certainly doesn't help.

Neither, its a matter of its the only weapon that can reliably deal with heavy armor.
Its a 20 shot weapon taht can 1 shot hulks and below against bots. Where as the rockets in the game cant boast the same.

Its good because everything else sucks.

The Railgun is fine, its a later unlock in a PVE game.

The railgun is fine, EVERY OTHER WEAPON NEEDS BUFFING THOUGH.
EAT-17 should have a massive oumph
Recoiless should be devastating
Autocannon I think is alright also
GL is ok
Stalwart could become a primary honestly
Flamethrower reminds me of the boring company flamethrower instead of a geneva convention defiler.

The railgun is inconsistent, therefor i would say it is not fine, there is either a issue with the gun or the enemies.

Top reason I am often bringing an autocannon instead is you can tell the "too much ammo" people are whining about isn't true unless you spend 99% of your time running from things instead of shooting them. 20 shots goes by real fast if you actually try to help your team instead of treat every shot as more precious than resident evil magnum rounds.

That said, bots being less overarmored than bugs sure skews that a lot. An AMR isn't a complete waste of time against the bots.

Spear keeps ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ up lock ons, or not actually killing the target. But you don't get faux hardcore gamer points by admitting our options are lackluster. Whining about anything able to deal damage is easier than caring about balance or challenge.

When the railgun underperforms instead of "EZ mode on everything!!1!!!1111!", at least it is still hitting what you point it at.

IMO the primary reason to bring the rail gun is if you really hate chargers and can't be bothered dodging to hit the back of their legs with the auto cannon, and you're willing to sacrifice all the utility the auto cannon offers.
