Damage inconsistency
I enjoy playing with the Disposable rocket launcher.
I greatly enjoy letting Chargers have a taste of it.
The problem is that it usually takes 2 hits to kill one, but sometimes 4 isn't enough.
The revolver has the same issue, it takes between 1-6 hits to kill the same enemy shooting it inthe face sometimes (medium armor penetration).
Is there a reason that damage is sometimes so extremely inconsistent?

Are you stripping the armor with the first shot and then shooting the same spot with your second EAT? It should consistently take a Charger out if you are.

Jup, I bait them to charge me and then give them a face full of high explosive for their troubles.

I did have the impression that it penetrated bits of the bugs that my primary with light pen could not.

Don't shoot exposed parts with anti-tank weapons. Just unload into them with your primary. A single EAT will usually break a Charger's leg armor and expose the limb. Shooting it in the ass or the head is useless because one is unarmored and the other is so armored and sloped you likely won't penetrate.

Penetration depends on the angle at which your projectile strikes armor, not just where it hits. The further away you are from 90 degrees that bigger the chance that it will not fully penetrate or just bounce (in the case of the Autocannon).
