The mouse smoothing stutter issue is a HUGE problem
This is almost enough for me to put the game down till it's fixed. There is nothing we can do about it.

What I'm talking about is the MASSIVE amount of stutter and jank with the mouse smoothing option OFF. Even at over 200FPS, it feels like character animations run at 30fps, frame pacing issues etc etc. It feels HORRIBLE to aim with a mouse with mouse smoothing off. It feels like mouse movement "ratchets" in small chunks. As if it skips small sections of movement, resulting in the stutter.

It's marginally better with mouse smoothing ON, but then the input lag is wild. Mouse feels floaty and almost impossible to be precise with. You have to decide which terrible feeling setting feels the least terrible.

Please fix, this game is awesome.

Yeah, actually surprised not more people mention/complain about this, the stuttering you get from panning your view around when the mouse smoothing is off is crazy bad, and while I've gotten used to aiming with the smoothing on in this game already, it doesn't excuse the fact that having to leave it on in order for the game to be playable does feel like a band-aid solution to a serious problem.

It's the main reason I went to play on gamepad I just couldn't stand it.

Do you have your mouse set at 1000hz polling ? , specially some cheaper mice which claim 500 ( oudated ) or 1000hz polling run in reality 125-500 mhz Polling and then your mouse movement without smoothing feels "jittery" or weird cause the mouse doesnt poll as often .

1000hz is standard for gaming for a few years.
Sometimes you need to enable it via your Mouse driver software ( mine defaults at 500hz )

Specially no name mice screw around with hz polling.

I wish I had that kind of patience.....good on you.

As far as I'm concerned, nothing on this earth will ever convince me to play a shooter game with a controller. Nothing. Ever. I'll just go play another game instead.

It's not a mouse or hardware issue. Not a user issue at all. It's a game issue, just google around a bit and you will find a LOT of Reddit posts on the issue.

I have arguably the best mouse you can buy, like most of my hardware.. G Pro X Superlight

I like to sit back & relax plus I started out as a console player I moved to PC at the ends of the PS3 so I've pretty dang good with it my accuracy is almost always around 80-85%.

Huh. Can't say I've noticed that, myself.
KingMidasNV Mar 4, 2024 @ 7:56am
If you aren't noticing it, you just aren't paying attention. Go to the tutorial map and experiment with the mouse smoothing setting. See how it feels with the setting on, then turn it off and try again.

Can't you just remove it instead?

It's the game's problem I can't stand mouse smoothing & with it off it's basically broken in the game so gamepad it is.

Idk mine works flawless without smoothing , Might answer my question and making sure its 1000hz?
and is your "best" mouse set to 1000hz polling ?
even the most "bestest" mouse of the world would suck at 125-500hz.

What are you not understanding look at OPs post when mouse smoothing is off it's a mess & I don't like mouse smoothing so it's disabled in everything but in this game with mouse smoothing off it's a mess what don't you understand.
