Malevelon Creek ordered to retreat at 65% liberation.
I've seen the liberation rise from less than 1% several days ago to 65% by the end of this day.
Everyone was fighting bravely to avenge the fallen but I've just noticed that a retreat order was given and the entire sector cannot be accessed.

Is this an isolated case or is anyone else expierencing the same thing?
If it's true then it's not the end I and everyone else fought for.

Visually we cannot tell what is going on anymore.
You will get a tiny little tooltip say some stuff from time to time.
And planets will gain and lose a health bar that we are meant to care about, but there is no reputation system to get you interested in caring for the planets other than free stims.

It is wild to me that we failed a defense order. How many people aren't contributing just to farm medals do you think?

Because you didn't defend the planet on the other sector that you need to keep the Creek open.

The game does an extremely poor job of communicating how many of the systems work but especially the war map.

The point is that defensive operations, at least civ escort missions (In Automaton systems) are under heavy critisism for high difficulty due to babysitting mindless NPCs while you're swarmed by a horde of enemies which normally wouldn't be encountered in such numbers, and replenished at such rate as during escort missions.

So far the only working strategy I know is having the majority of the team fighting enemies as far from the civilian structures as possible while 1-2 people quietly escort the civs but doing something like that IS NOT enjoyable.

From my point of view unless there are changes to defensive ops (AND ESPECIALLY) escort missions we will be failing every single defensive order.

TLDR: Community doesn't like escort missions and they should be modified/improved. Anyways who likes escort missions in video games?

What do you mean by free stims? It's a new term for me

It also suffer from being boring as ♥♥♥♥, it's just not a fun mission type to keep doing repeatedly, even when successful.

Mantes failed the Defense Mission (I'm not surprised, they suck ass) so we lost access to both the Creek and Draupnir.
DRIV Mar 4, 2024 @ 3:47am
Unless the escort missions are completely removed or drastically modified - we will be losing every single defensive order.

At this moment it acts like killswitch that signifies that no matter what, the planet will be seized by an enemy.

I was wondering why we some planets are inaccessible while we are winning. This should be communicated better to players in game.

Surpisingly liberation at the Creek is dropping quite slowly. It's as if Super Earth forces were cut off and encircled by bots but still fighting.

Hopefully we will be able to send a relief force once Mantes is liberated.
