level 10 difficulty
I think we should call it Hell Dive 2.

I also think it would be really neat if they kept the spawn rates of elite enemies the same but added somewhere from 50% to 100% more small enemies to make wave clearing load outs far more valuable.

The rail gun and anti tank players in general will still have a lot of work to do but players with machine guns, arc throwers, flame throwers etc will be extremely influential on the result of the mission even more so than they are now.

helldivers 1 the 12th difficulty was helldive with 13 being An Exercise in Futility, 14 The Definition of Insanity and 15 The Inner Circle of Hell. If they introduce further difficulties itl probably be inline with those.

That's interesting. Do you remember how difficult level 15 was compared to hd2 level 9? Is there still a lot of room to go up in difficulty?

If you want harder levels then you can easily 'simulate' them now. How about trying to go solo, only use your sidearm and grenades and no strats at all (get resupplied by finding POIs).

Yeah, that sounds fun am I right?

@Many-Named My point seemed rather obvious. The OP does not need to wait for more difficulty levels to be added when they can do 'harder' content right now by using self impose rules.

Let me know If I need to explain it in even simpler terms for you.

I would like to play the way it is intended with all the tools at my disposal so I think you are the one missing the point. I could handicap myself of course but I am not simply trying to make completing a mission harder for myself.

I also think having one more level of difficulty called hell dive 2 would be funny and fit with the themes of the game.

Can we keep all further comments productive please? it is a forum for opinions but it is tiring to bring what I think is a fun concept and have people say "no" and sarcastic comments asking me to limit myself to make the game harder when that wasn't even my original goal.

They will need to add more difficults after the mech and vehicles or it will be much easy on level 9, i dont think they can rebalance the game, because it will be impossible without them or too easy with them...

Were the mechs really that powerful in hd 1? I can imagine they are very strong but limit your options like stealth and guerrilla strikes but that might not be the case depending on how mobile they are
