HELL NO. Operations in higher difficulties already take too long to complete, people have lives you know? also the game is nowhere stable enough to even consider a penalty system, even in a weekday during working hours i sometimes get like 2-3 players just timing out.

If you don't have time for a mission, why even go? I can see if you get disconnected, but if you actively exit the mission I feel like there should be a penalty... Or at least if you "time out" too often. I could see people alt-f4 to circumvent it. Most missions are 40 minutes before support is pulled, if you don't have 45min to an hour of time when you start a mission, it's your own fault.

The game still freezes even at the point between the dropship leaving and your actual victory screen.

The more years go by, the more I learn punish systems are just to soothe egos in games so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ jank, you are more afraid of being punished for ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ than anything you did.

I hit Alt+F4 when the game ♥♥♥♥♥ up and freezes, I already get enough garbage tier softban risks from darksouls wagging it's finger at you for a naughty log off when a storm takes out the power.

im at 47, and i cant tell you how many medium/hard games i get kicked out by some level 6 sore-ass. I have no idea
People are always babies and quit at the first time they die or get downed in a PvE game. I'm embarrassed for them.

A lot of people don’t really realize you’re still on par with them. Even myself as I’m new to the game around level 10, I don’t really want you coming in and showing me all the toys quite yet. I’d also rather be playing with people who are about as new as me.

Suffice to say if you joined my game I wouldn’t kick you over it.

Until they fix crashes, pls no punishment.

sure thats understandable, but the timing wise. You should already know how long a mission can potentially take, its just frustrating that people made the choice to join a max 40 min game on a high difficulty. They intentionally leave on me like that and those are the people i wanna slap their face

As I said, missions are long. Something may come up that needs my immediate attention. I do not want to incur a penalty or possibly a stupid ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ trust system for having a real life

edit: just so i can clear things on my side, I avoid leaving or kicking people during ongoing missions.

given how the most recent AMD graphics card crashes on helldivers 2 fairly randomly but frequently, quit penalty would punish folks for something they can't prevent, and if you made it "quit only" everyone would just start alt f4in to leave

its not players leave. its just game kicking them due crash, heating etc
FUEGOOO Mar 3, 2024 @ 12:26pm
Why rely on teammates to not leave? Dont go difficulty you couldnt finish alone then. This isnt competitive ranked game that needs any punishment system, get a grip.
fleabag Mar 3, 2024 @ 12:26pm
lmao no. people are free to play a single mission from the operation if they want to. you're not the messiah of helldivers which gets to make sweeping gameplay decisions cause you think you're better than everyone
