This game raises my CPU's temperature to 100
When the game is about to end (the ship is coming), the temperature rises by 100 degrees. Only this game makes this happen. I pin my fps to 60, but 90~100 degrees. WHAT HAPPENED TO THIS GAME. (my spec I5 12400f )

If your CPU reaches 100°C even on 100% usage, you have a cooling issue.
^What he says

Also, the F in Intel chips stands for effed.

do you have a hamster wheel powering your fans?

Id have thought the computer would shut down if it got that hot.

Anything over 70-75 is an issue, get liquid cooling or something
you have a cpu cooling or airflow issue in ur pc case

Bro if you have hardware or performance related question this is not the place to ask. You see you will just get some generic bait comments, steam forum is not for serious discussions. Look around lol.

My PC gets way hotter on this game than basically every other game I play by a significant margin but even at its highest I've never seen it past high 70s. Could try the old faithful of doing a nice cleaning of your tower with reapplying the thermal paste

No it's not. Thermal Throttling does not occur on newer CPUs until they reached 95c (12th gen Intel or 3rd gen AMD).

What century is your computer from, my friend?

Cooling issue. Too small CPU heatsink or fan's RPM, bad thermal paste (dried out or poor quality), lack of ventilation in your PC case, lose CPU heatsink with out enough pressure on CPU

No, modern CPUs start throttling themselves when they get too hot, reducing CPU voltage and frequency, trying to go below their max TJunction temperature which for most CPUs is 100*C. This results in stuttering, loud fans, bad gaming experience. If you don't fix your cooling solution, it might do some permanent damage to your system over prolonged period of time (months).
