Reading the Map for bonus objectives?
This is not a whine or complain. This is purely honestly asking for advice from people who may have experience reading tactical / military maps / satellite maps.

The Map is very detailed. Easy things like a "living complex" i can make out.

Could someone who is able to reliable find bonus objectives such as satellite stations or cannon positions give me some hints with screenshots what too look out for to read this out off the map?

if you wear the green scout armor you can place markers on the mini map and it will help reveal points of interest (clusters of enemies etc.) - some dude did a vid on youtube, good luck

You can also do this without scout armor as even when undiscovered if you hover over a POI it will tell you.

you mean it works as a radar station when you put down markers? a radar station reveals all POI but how do you find a radar station or artillery station when you just touched down with the detailed map?

Some side objectives can be seen(and resolved) from very far away, like spore trees and illegal broadcasts, just shoot them with AC, missile or railgun and they're done.

Scout outfit will reveal a short distance around the map marker.
Just left click on the map to place the marker, not sure if its bugged though as mine doesn't seem to show POIs, just enemies.

exactly it doesnt show POI only enemies. it also doesnt show bonus objectives.

which is the reason why i asked what i asked. If you open the map and zoom in, can someone give me some tips how to identify positions where one would be "hrm that looks like buildings, could be a satellite station" or "hrm this looks defensively setup could be a artillery post"

Look at the map and move to interesting looking spots.
Thats not that hard.
And just look around, take higher ground.
You can see most secondary objectives from far away.

tactical obj are easy to spot as others have said. when you see buildings check them out they are either a POI or an objective you can also make up building complexes on the mini map sometimes. speaking of POIs keep an eye on your compass when you see a question mark "?" that indicates a POI and the range it will show up is pretty generous

would i ask if i had trouble?

why is the answer people give to someone who actively asks for help

"kook at the map"

"look around"

i wouldnt ask for help if they are so easy to spot if you make them to be. i ask because i wanted a slice of the communities experience, what it looks like, what too specificially look out for.

We all know how toxic behaviour and kicking for no reason is rising. Do you think aimless wandering around checking out everything that MIGHT be something interesting is not triggering people who then kick you?

In my testing the scout armor or the UAV recon booster will let you see the minor points of interest before you even see the "?" on your compass.

If you're using mouse and keyboard this will be easy as you just need to to open your map and scan your mouse around an area and when you see the mouse icon pop up it'll tell you that's where a minor POI is.

If you think a particular area looks important but there is no minor POI that pops up then try tagging it on the map, most of the time instead of the pin drop icon for tagging a random location you'll get the squared icon when tagging an objective, and those will be the hidden secondary objectives.

I can *very* reliably spot stalker hives and the super sample rock from the map itself. SEAF Artillery is kinda easy to see too. The rest i haven't bothered to try to learn how to identify.

With scout armor, when u set a marker on the map and it shows stationary enemies, its usually a poi/objective close by. If the enemies move on the map however, its just a patrol.

can you send some screenshots how these look like? that would help others also find them
