Kicking People
This... is a strange feeling since I've almost always, 100% of the time, been on the Host side of things on this discussion. But it keeps happening, and seems to have ZERO restrictions when it can be done (including while on the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ EXTRACTION SHIP). This needs to be looked at.

1) Being able to vote kick someone that joined for 1-2 minutes. Okay.

2) Being able to kick once a player has wracked up X number of player kills. This is, in many ways, like Magicka. Killing your teammates accidentally is to be expected, yet there's a fine line between "Ooops!" and griefing. There should be a 'Karma' system

3) Vote kicking. This would eliminate some of the 100% control the Host has. The ONLY time a Host should retain 100% kicking priviledges is when he hasn't used the SOS and invited Quick Play into his game. You don't get to wag your finger and pretend "you da host, bruv" when you're allowing the matchmaking system.

4) If all objectives are done (main objectives), no one should be able to be kicked (lest it's someone that joins in after). No one should be allowed to kick after 20 plus minutes. I don't care if they decide to grief at minute 21. 99% of the time this is going to be host Ego.

As it stands, I refuse to use Quick Play now. Host "josh" blew me up (no problem, happens?) Then I accidentally killed him while killing the charger on his ass. Oops! No pro- Kicked. K.

The forums are full of posts about kicking. I wonder what the stats are for people kicked in a given day.

I'll translate for you guys. This happened to the OP personally. Now and only now did he understand what all these people were talking about.

Hosts can't just leave after a game. the only way they can clear their ship is by kicking. kicking in the ship means nothing.

134hrs in game. not been kicked in mission a single time.
I'm sure it happens, and there likely are a few people doing it for laughs, but it must be incredibly rare.

If you are being kicked often enough that it's worth complaining about then you are doing something warranting being kicked that often.

Maybe if the hosts could be bothered to type or use voice chat to tell you what they dislike things would go better for everyone. No one says a word and the kicks just come out of the blue without even being able to explain a single thing. If people are given a heads up on what they are doing I think generally they will fall in line to not get kicked.

Not all hosts like the same thing. Some kick you if you don't break off and solo extra things, some kick you if you do break of and run solo. You cannot read their minds. The issue is that getting kicked is a big waste of time and its all down to one persons mood.

Vote kicking does need to happen.

Just came out of a long game with 2 lowlevels on suicide where we were taking care of heavies and nests just to be kicked before extraction. Not cool from a time waster perspective.

They did have a bunch of extraction timer to go through, so I sincerely hope they got swarmed and killed.

I don't have that many hours and also haven't been kicked. If I would be kicked that often I would just host.

I can already see it now two friends doing nothing and just killing the host. I have seen that more often, than I have been kicked in any game. If you saw that coming you should have just left.

I would support 'Vote kicking' only as an option to toggle on or off in the options for game setup. But I absolutely, vehemently oppose anyone thinking we need to remove the host's power to kick problem players. Do Not Remove the host's power to kick, this will just lead to a more toxic community.

League of Legends has vote-only systems. Look how well it's done for them! <sarcasm>

I only had the game for 12 hours. Maybe 90% less hostility, eh?

That's just you being the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, there. It was his game, and his friend, so he can do what he wants. Deal with it. This is MANAGED DEMOCRACY, soldier - and the host is the manager. xD

It wasn't that, they were 2 lowlevels clearly on discord just going off by themselves while we (2 random 20+) killed the heavies and cleared most of the nests and objectives.

Then after a whole trek around the map, mission complete they went to extraction and kicked.

Couldn't really see it happen cus you have many games with randoms just running off.
