They realsed a statement on it and they dont reset anything. the largest demographis is America, after about midnight the american playerbase drops sigificantly which makes the poinst we eart toward planets liberation drop significantly. the planets get a set number of points taken off every few min, its something like (Number of players * an arbitrary number based on the diff of the event) and every so often we lose that much abount. so its not that it resets at all its just the largest demographic isnt playing.
Then to add to that its to make sure its a challenge and theres reason to keep playing, if we just blaze through the tacmap and clear everythign within a month then the game stops being a challenge, Joels task is to make the game entertaining and feel like an actual war.
SuperEarth is farming bugs for fuel, they are breeding them like any cattle, they use it as tools (for fuel harvesting and training) and they release them when it's convenient to sell more weapons.
You thought General Brasch was a benevolent figure ? He (barely) trains fresh recruits and sells weapons to the conflict. He is directly profiting from the war effort. Need more sales ? Release more bugs.
Joel is a plant by SuperEarth, the boogeyman who will oh so conveniently tell soldiers that there was a miscaculation on the liberation of a planet. Coincidentally, sales for orbital lasers have skyrocketed.
Wake up h̶u̶m̶a̶n̶s̶ people. You are being manipulated by a tyrannical plutocratie.
PS : I'm not a robot.

That's the part where players drop off at night.
The planet is always trying to regen HP, but when it hit 100% (I'm assuming) there must have been some over-damage that kept it above 100 for awhile with no contest... but it fell off sometime and the planet regenerated HP. If there isn't over-damage, I dunno why it would take so long to begin falling - it stayed at 100 for awhile. Last time I saw it was around 2am central.
Although I wonder... when does the order end? Hopefully at midnight, when the planet will have been recently played on
Nope, I just checked. Both are still at 100%. Not sure what OP is talking about. Also, yeah, they just have to be defended until the Major Order ends... that means the bugs can invade or re-invade at any time, so defend the other planets leading up to those to help lessen the chance that they'll invade Heeth and Angel's Venture.
We need to have token forces on all planets or they flip to total enemy control, which then lets them invade nearby planets again. So we can't all dog pile 1 planet at a time. Need 20k on all planets the rest on the main fronts.
"We undo your efforts, and actively alter the numbers out of your favor to encourage you to keep playing."
Do video game developers live in caves? Who taught them that "Didn't count." motivates people?
Then... crazy idea here... dont play it... its really a simple concept. I think the system they have is fine and keeps the game engaging in my opinion.
