How does the Major Order work?

inb4 "It doesn't" - I know there are problems with the daily/weekly at least at the moment, that isn't what I mean.


Last night I got a reward when Veld finished after doing a bunch of missions there and got the 45 medals but I did a similar number of missions on Angel's Venture and got nothing.

Is it not 45 medals per planet you help liberate -do you only receive the reward once?

What are the criteria to receive the reward? Have the Devs shared them?

Not a complaint, just want to understand why I got a reward for taking part in liberating one planet but not the other so I can engage with that aspect of the game better.

For Veld the objective was to liberate the planet. For this order the objective is to have the 2 planets held once the objective ends in 5 days

Surely if you've read the major order you'd know that we need to be in control of these 2 planets by the time the major order expires to get the reward.

I think Cirrus being locked at 99% is a give away that they might pop up 2 defense missions on the 2 planets soon. It was rising from 98% as I was browsing general and then it got to 99.00000% and now it is just staying there lmao

What a lovely bunch you are, but I suppose turds do go in a toilet and this is the stinkiest toilet around so I'm not sure I should be surprised.


So I posted this before I loaded in today and the major order displayed is different to the major order that was there yesterday. While I was logged in yesterday Veld completed and I got the medals as described and then when I checked to see if the major order had updated it had, showing the same major order (liberate planet) but instead of Veld it showed Angel's Venture. The content of the major order had not changed and 'Heeth' wasn't listed as a target planet until I logged back in today.


So, answering my own question, it appears it was a bug.

It's just a managed show like in George Orwell's 1984... They adjust the progression rate to the actual participation. So whether it is successful or not doesn't depend on you and me, but on them alone.

Cirrus is liberated, it just takes awhile for it to tally up on the war map sometimes. I do agree that we'll probably need to defend at least one of the objective planets again before the timer is up though
