Which machine gun is best?
This man shows us. Even 200 hours in I learned that these can pen.

I don't have time to watch that video (am about to slep gn frens)

But I main Stalwart + Scorcher, for both factions.
Stalwart has so many bullets and more clips and can be reloaded without pitching a tent, more accurate, more ammo from resupps, etc.

Any time a medium armored enemy / scout walker / bile spewer comes along, pop the scorcher out, bap bap bap, its dead, swap back.

Stalwart is GOAT.

wait so you didn`t notice that yourself? the heavy mg nest also just mows through medium armor like paper so does the first mg sentry and the gatling might es well be spitting on medium armored enemys

Stalwart is a trash clearer, whilst the GPMG is a medium shredder

I want the MG43 to be good I really do. But its negatives really hurt it. Non moving reload, 1 ammo box per resupply, and only two spare box mags. The mild extra pen doesnt help it when the Stalwart can be combo'ed like Mcfuzz mentioned. Using another weapon to open weak points or take out other armor enemies. If the MG43 had four spare mags and got the standard 2 mags on resupply it would be more worth it.

Also against popular belief. I prefer the lowest RPM on the machineguns. It really helps to focus on weak points and not burn through ammo reserves. Where as the higher RPMs causes you to use much more ammo for the same target. I have actively noticed I can wipe a whole group using low rpm with rounds to spare. Where as the same group size would use my entire magazine at the highest rpm.

heavy mg nest? you mean the machine gun?

From my experience, stalwart simply trade damage for mobility. That's all, both are fun if your know when and where to shoot.
I B FRAGGIN U Mar 2, 2024 @ 7:40am
Stalwart should be a primary with 75-100 rounds of ammo, and the MG-43 boxes should have 200 rounds and stay a stratagem.

We're gonna get a heavy machine gun soon, I guess it will have the highest medium armor penetration.

Stalwart has 250 ammo in a single magazine, light armor penetration, slugthrowing speed of up to 1100 rpm, and can be reloaded on the go, not to mention 3 spare magazines. Recovers 2 magazines from supply pack and 1 from ammo pack.

Machinegun has 150 ammo capacity, medium armor penetration, slugthrowing 900 liberty slugs in a minute, but needs to be stationary for reload, which is BS if you ask me. Also has only 2 spare magazines. Recovers 1 magazine from both supply and ammo packs.

So, if you are stationary, it is can be better to use machinegun, but you will need quite a lot of supplies to keep it running, but most of the time, Stalwart reigns supreme due to the increased magazine acquisition and higher ammo count. They feel like they're doing similar damage per shot, since Stalwart tends to kill targets quicker in my experience.

you can change 1 mag into 2 if you take the supply backpack then you get another supply for another mag and 2 grenades and syringes

but then your backpack slot is also used for your support, at which point, autocannon would be better :P.

I'm having a lot more fun and success with the stalwart than mg43

but then you also could be more of a team player and also give out ammo and it makes the supply last longer

sure if thats what you enjoy. i prefer being usefull to my team by clearing all the small stuff they keep dragging behind them, all the while not being stuck as a free target for 5 sec because i need to reload or having 0 accuracy from 100m+ out while walking and shooting.
