Thats the time limit to complete it, it doesnt say anywhere we have to wait for the timer to end before getting the reward.

No, it actually does.
It also tells you explicitly when you get the incoming message from super earth detailing the next major order.

Again, READ it.

We have to be in control of those planets when the timer is up.

It actually does. the phrasing is for both planets to be liberated at the end of the time limit. Implying the planets will come under attack more.

See how that "when order expires" is slapped on at the end there? its important.

I'm actually confused with the order....says to liberate both planets which they currently are so I cannot participate. Wasn't this mission dropped like yesterday? Or am I mistaken? Did folks really finish this in the 8 hrs I was asleep?

we need to hold it at the end of the time limit. meaning they are trying to push through current active objectives to those.

yesterday I closed the game and I had like 8 medals, I started the game today and the major order was completed and I received the medals, I played 2 missions and bought the scorcher, so I am not sure which side to believe in this topic but for me it's done for now.

READ. Nowhere does the order say "Liberate these 2 planets." Instead it is finished successfully if we hold both planets at the time the order expires. This implies that holding them... may not be guaranteed. The game master clearly has plans.

A note though the medals you got were probably from the previous order.

I didn't complete the previous major order because I don't play on automaton planets too often, I am not arguing about that but I am telling what happened to me lol.
